RELATIONSHIP: they had grown up around each other due to their families. while they were friends, they often did not see eye to eye and had petty arguments. theo loved getting her riled up and she would always defend herself. however, theo always did find himself looking out for her, intentionally and unintentionally. things began to change for the both of them after their fourth year, when they both realized how serious this war was getting. theo began to actually talk to her instead of just annoying her and they began to form a genuine friendship with each other. theo became very protective over her and she began to care for the boy in a way she hadn't cared about anyone before. they both caught feelings, but neither of them knew how to express these feelings so they never confronted them. everyone could see their feelings except for them. DETAILED STUFF DETAILED BACKSTORY: her mother died during childbirth, which caused her father to become closed off as she grew up. he joined the death eaters pretty early, so he was absent a lot of the times during her childhood. she was often sent to the malfoy's to stay with narcissa, as she would be the one to talk care of eva and draco while their fathers were out on death eater business. she was never close with her father and did not know much about any of her other family members. though she was her god mother, narcissa became the closest thing to a caring family member that eva had. draco also became like her brother, the two being really close. this caused her to meet the other slytherins, as well as become a part of their friend group. she was raised on the same ideology that the rest of them were, but part of her always knew it wasn't the right ideology to follow. she kept quiet due to a fear of her father, but when the time came, she made sure she was on the right side.
