Everything went black, and I found myself in the middle of a home full of mourners. Everyone was in tears, howling. What exactly is going on here? Why does this configuration look so familiar to me? When I turned my head to the left and saw a dead body, my pulse raced. Why am I here if it wasn't my Dad? I wish to leave this place.
I was going to run when my gaze was drawn to a girl. There I was - the sixteen-year-old me, standing still in her destroyed state, nude foot, slightly cut forehead, battered arms.
"Do you think I killed my father? He died because of me?" a sixteen-year-old me inquired, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Yes, yes, you killed him!" You are responsible for his death! Now murder me, too!" Her mother screamed in outrage, unable to stomach her husband's death. The girl fell silent; she didn't have any strength left to fight. She looked at her brother, expecting he'd say anything, but he disappointed her by not saying anything to their mother.
Is she really that bad?
Does their father pass away because of her?
She took a long breath before responding, "Fine, I've killed him." Her heart had broken into billions of pieces, yet no one cared, not even her. She walked to her room, ignoring the shouting and wailing; everyone was crying, but no one cared about the little child who was dying.
She packed her possessions and emerged with a trolley, looking around at everyone; everyone who was close to her in the shape of relatives or family appeared unfamiliar to her.
"Never return to us; you are dead to us! "You are a murderer!" Her mother shouted, unable to understand how she was murdering her daughter with her harsh words.
"I hate you all and don't worry I will never come back" She mumbled and walked away as if she never existed. No one stopped her. Is this a family name? She was with them for sixteen years, and no one believed her when she claimed she had done nothing.
Is she a killer?
No one recognized how much trauma they had caused her by voicing those remarks. I want to hug the younger version of myself and tell her that she did nothing wrong; everyone misunderstood her.
