You're beautiful when you smile

I sat in silence, as did the rest of the class, waiting for the lesson to end.

Unusually, my seatmate seemed agitated and nervous.

Very unlike her.

For the while I've known her she's been nothing but stern and cold.

An ice queen per se.

A ruthless ice queen with a weapon of a compass.

I caught her looking at me often during the lesson.

Weird. Each time I caught her eye she looked away instantly, her face flushing a deep red.

Is it a doppelganger perhaps?

The way she's acting is quite bizarre.

I suppose I should inquire about it, shouldn't I?

The lesson soon came to an end.

"Horikita."

"Y-yes?"

Was that a stutter in her speech?

Had she caught something off of Sakura?

"Are you feeling alright?"

I brought my hand to her forehead, our faces in close proximity to each other.

"Your face is extremely red right now, do you have a fever?"

She was at a loss for words.

"Do you need medicine?"

Before I could ask any other question, she took off, running out of the room.

"Weird."

I mumbled to myself whilst the rest of the girls in the class looked at me stupidly.

"Is something the matter?"

I asked, to those staring at me.

"Yeah, you're an idiot!"

I take quite offence to that judging by the fact I was brought up in a facility that made me pretty much a superhuman.

"How so?"

I asked, confused.

"She obviously likes you~."

Again, I was confused.

"Like? Doesn't everyone like everyone?"

They all face-palmed.

"Romantically you idiot."

Again, the idiot insult.

But, romantically?

Horikita Suzune, likes me, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, in a romantic view?

That was even more bizarre than earlier.

Just as I continued to think about it, a small 'ding' echoed from my phone:

'Meet me in my room in an hour - Horikita Suzune'

My eyes widened at the sudden request leading me to think of the question:

'Is this a food trap?'

I had hope not.

Before I arrived at her room, I decided to bring a gift of chocolate.

The internet said that the majority of girls enjoy eating chocolate so I thought of it as an appropriate gift.

I knocked on the door.

"H-hello Ayanokoji-kun, co-come in..."

She was dressed in a way I'd never expect of her. A cute summer (mid-length) dress and her hair in a high bun with strands falling down in front of her face.

The aura of 'ice queen' quickly vanished at the sight of her with a small tint of blush on her cheeks.

I entered the room, prepared for what was coming next.

When I made it to her living room, on the table was a feast, plenty of mouth-watering foods laid out; my stomach wanting to devour it.

"S-sit." She stuttered, pulling a chair out and motioning towards the seat.

I nodded and sat.

She sat opposite me.

"You can only eat this food if..."

"If you date me."

She said with an adamant look on her face, refusing to look into anything but my eyes.

If it weren't me I would of been pressured to say yes from the look of determination.

"Horikita." My cold voice filled the room.

"I don't like you in a romantic way." The determination in her eyes faded and it looked as if a tear were about to fall down her porcelain skin.

"But that's because I've never felt what it's like to do so," I added.

"My life has been different from that of yours so I've never been able to experience this term called 'emotions' well."

Keeping her cool aura, she gave me a sympathetic look.

"I'm not telling you this for sympathy but instead I'm asking you this:

Will you help me to feel love Horikita?"

The look of determination slowly crept back onto her face at my words.

"Will you allow me to date you and will you guide me through a relationship to help me grasp the concept of love?"

A smile appeared on her face.

Her stoic expression was no more.

With just a small smile, her whole look could change. She's beautiful when she smiles, not that she wasn't before though.

"Of course K-Kiyotaka-kun. I will help you." She stumbled on saying my name but that's only natural for her.
