How You Break Up

Tom: Things had been going sour for a little while now, and you both knew it. Even the smallest of things left you both stressed out at one another, often to the point where you'd end up biting each other's head off about it. You tried to get things to work out but after a few weeks they'd just fall apart again. "It's just a phase. We'll get through it!" You told each other. But after a series of full out arguments, you both decided that was not the case.

"How could you do that to me?" You had shouted at Tom as he walked through the door.

"Do what?" Tom spat, some what confused.

"Don't act like you don't know Tom Mann!" You rolled your eyes, making Tom grow impatient and annoyed.

"Whatever the hell you thought I did, Y/N, I didn't!" He replied, trying to prevent a full blown fight from sparking up.

"You know what? Forget it. This is our third argument this week. Don't you dare say 'we'll work this out' because no, we won't. I can't keep on like this. I don't have the time for this, for you." You gulped. "Just get out before it gets worse!" You choked up as you saw his eyes begin to water, but knew it was what had to be done. He opened his mouth to speak but you turned around, your eyes slowly beginning to water. Tom walked out and you fell to your knees in full sobs. What had you done?

Charlie: "What do you expect from me, Charlie?" You shouted down the stairs to him after walking away as things became more heated. "Do you really think I'm that dumb to let you walk all over me?"

"Are you seriously making this all about you? You're not the only one who's hurting." Charlie shouted back, the tension obvious in his voice.

"Hurting? Is that all it is to you? An emotion which you caused in the first place." You said, rolling your eyes as you stormed back down the stairs. You paced over to him, looking up into his eyes, which were watering slightly, just like yours had been. "I can't do this. I can't say I'm going to regret this. Just get out. Get out of my life. You've one nothing but ruin me!" You said, biting back the pain. "Come back if you ever stop being a jerk."

You could tell Charlie wasn't taking it well, but he turned round and rushed out. He didn't want you to see him break apart. He ran out to spare you from seeing him fall apart.

Casey: It was the third night this week Casey hadn't come home and you were beginning to worry. Posts were circling several social media sites about Casey spending time with another girl, and it was getting to you. After seeing a bunch more posts about it, you ended up falling apart. The tears were trickling down your cheeks as Casey walked into the house.

"Y/N, what's wrong?" He asked, walking over to you. He wrapped his arm around you, but you shook him away.

"You tell me!" You cried, shoving your phone, with the posts, into his hands. After reading it, Casey handed back the phone and let his face drop into his hands.

"It's not what you think!" He said, finally lifting his head.

"I think it is, Casey!" You sniffed, standing up, ready to walk away. Casey grabbed your arm, pulling you back. "Y/N, please!" He begged.

"Casey, no! I know what I saw, it is what I think and we both know it!" You sighed, pulling your arm away.

"What can I do?" He bit his lip.

"I think the only thing you can do is leave." You shrugged, walking away, sobbing lightly to yourself. Casey let his face drop to his hands again, the pain hitting his chest.

Barclay: Barclay was sat in the lounge, strumming at his guitar lightly as you walked in the room. The pair of you had been distant recently and Barclay had noticed. "Y/N, are you okay?" He had asked you as you slouched onto the couch.

"Absolutely fine!" You shrugged, but he shook his head.

"No, you're not. You're lying to me, what is it?" He sighed.

"Nothing! I'm fine!" You shouted.

"Why are you lying to me?" He queried, knowing this wasn't the first time you hadn't told him things. "If you're going to keep things from me, this isn't going to work. Perhaps it's best we took a break!" He said, a frown on his face as he stood up making his way for the door.

Chris: Due to being in Stereo Kicks, Chris often wasn't in Ireland. And the whole long distance relationship wasn't exactly working for either of you. You rarely ever saw each other, even when he was in Ireland. One day, when he was round, you knew you couldn't keep things going any more: it was like you didn't even know each other now.

"Chris. This isn't working!" You gulped as he looked you in the eyes, the confusion obvious in his eyes. "Perhaps if I had the money and could travel with you it would, or if you were here more. But it was so much easier when we were just friends. Maybe we should just go back to that?" You suggested. Chris didn't know what to say. He slunk back in his seat, allowing himself some time to think. Eventually, he weakly nodded.

"I guess, if it's what you want!" You both nodded at each other. You were glad he understood. You gave him a quick, friendly hug. He hugged you back awkwardly before smiling at you, saying his goodbyes before leaving your house.

Reece: Reece had been your school crush for as long as you could remember, so when he asked you out you were overwhelmed. But, like most high school romances, it didn't last long. Reece became a member of Stereo Kicks and you became some what distant. You still tried to meet up whenever you could, but times were getting tougher for you both. That's when you came to the mutual of decision of ending it. Of course, you were still the best of friends and nothing could change that. Obviously, you missed him and would happily fight to get him back, wishing you could hug him one more time in more than just a friendly manner. But all was lost, you were certain he'd moved on.

Jake: Before you started dating, you and Jake hated each other. Then, all of a sudden, you fell for each other. You were both inseparable when you were together, and nobody saw the breakup coming. It was a shock to everyone, even you! One day, Jake came to you, telling you he wasn't feeling it any more. "The spark's just not there any more." was what he'd said. You were left speechless and cold. "Maybe one day it'll relight, but I doubt it!" he followed on with and you just nodded, keeping in the emotions which were filling your head.

James: You and James had the relationship everyone wanted. You were friends with all the other boys and you and James had been dating for such a long time. It had gotten to the point where your friends were planning your wedding. Nobody saw the breakup coming. You'd had a couple of arguments before this one, but they weren't huge. James had started getting overly protective of you and would get jealous easily. At first it was sweet, and you didn't mind. But eventually, he'd accuse you of looking at other guys and got himself all worked up. Neither of you liked it. Eventually, you broke up with him, telling him he was being silly and immature. He was upset, and came back at you with the comment "At least I'm not disloyal!" which hurt you deeply. You packed your things and left for your parents house. Once your friends, and the other boys found out, none of them believed either of you, they thought it was some sick joke. But it wasn't. It was true.

Some of these made me so emotional! I've been reading preferences so much today and decided to start writing them again! I hope you liked them! If you have any requests for any more things I could write about, leave a comment below!
