⋆From when Lilith left⋆

I turned over in my bed and waited for her to leave, I heard the front door shut and her scent gradually got fainter and fainter. As soon as I could no longer smell her, I flew out of bed, throwing the covers to the other side of the room and quickly put a gray and red zip-up hoodie on.

I jumped out of my window and flew down the street following her scent all the way to a medium-sized apartment building. I could hear gasps of air coming from the stairwell

I quietly climbed on the ceiling, getting behind the woman who I then realised was Lilith, following behind her slowly as not to make a lot of noise. I saw her go to turn around, but I just about had time to hide while she hesitated. After she shut her door, I walked up to it and touched the handle, only to pull it back sharply.

Good. No body - no vampire - would be able to get in.

I jumped out of the closest window and ran to her balcony, then leaped onto it gracefully. Once she fell asleep after sitting there watching Netflix for a while, I touched the door handle expecting it to burn me, but I was shocked to find out that not only did it not burn me, it was open. I could even walk in slightly.

Lilith turned around and slowly opened her eyes looking straight at the door, forcing me to hide from her yet again. She jumped up and peeked her head out, slowly edging outside. I quietly dropped behind her.

"Lilith~" I called out in a sing-song voice

"H-Hello?" she called out.

"Hi," I answered after a beat of silence. She turned around so quickly, I was scared she would hurt herself.

"Colby?" she questioned, opening her mouth to speak again, but I cut her off with my lips.

"Colby, stop it, come down. I need to talk to you. It's important." Sam was calling to me from the sidewalk.

I went to compel her, but remembered how it hadn't worked before. Glancing at the necklace around her throat, I reached up and tugged it from her.

"Wh-What?" she stuttered

"You will not remember this. I never came here. All you remember is getting home, watching tv then passing out. Now walk inside and go back to sleep on the couch."

Lilith's body moved on its own accord. Walking away from her made me feel slightly guilty, but I brushed it off.

"What?" I asked Sam as soon as I got to him.

"You need to feed, that's what." He spoke to me in the same tone.

"I thought you said it was important." I began walking.

"It is important, Colby. Don't forget we have a job tonight." He turned to face me.

I started running as I sighed, "Alright, whatever. Let's go."

I am sorry if a lot of chapters are just repeats of what happened in the last chapter but in different povs I am not a professional book person but I do try.
