Katerina Stratford and her sister Bianca Stratford moved into Seattle, Washington after the passing of their mother. They've been accompanied by their father, Walter Stratford. Their mothers passing has effected the family in many different ways, also one causing them to move. Katarina struggles to believe that she could fit in after the big change.

Their I was, standing outside the big gates of my new school, I doubt I'm going to fit in as a new Senior.I sigh whilst looking up at the enormous school that was there right in front of me. I find myself looking around at all the other students that have already found their groups, their people and what not. 'Bullshit' I think to myself, slowly approaching the entrance doors.
Walking down the halls with people staring at you and judging you has got to be one of the worst feelings anyone could have ever felt. It gives you that unwelcome feeling and that pit in your stomach making you feel like you don't belong. I hate it.
I finally manage to come across the office saying GUIDANCE COUNCILLOR OFFICE, exactly where I needed to be. I take a deep breath nervously, entering the office cluelessly.
I walk into the little room. There was an old lady, mid 60's I think. She looks up at me with a grin, shutting her laptop aggressively.
"Hey, um.. I'm new and I need my schedule." I say unbothered. "Ah, yes, Katarina Stratford I believe? I must warn you, this isn't the sort of place to be a joke in, eh?" She adds on a laugh at the end, putting her glasses back on. She hands me my schedule and then immediately opens her laptop, typing aggressively on it with a serious look. I take my schedule and exchange a confused look as I exit her office.
I felt millions of eyes on me when I entered my first classroom, I felt confident but some what nervous. "Take a seat Miss Stratford." Said the teacher with an annoyed tone. I nod and make my way to the first empty seat I saw.
To my left was a girl with almost pitch black hair, a tongue piercing and deep, dark brown eyes. To my right was a boy with blonde and brunette dreadlocks, a lip piercing and brown eyes, he particularly caught my eye because of the way he wasn't even paying attention to the teacher. I shook it off and started to draw in my notebook out of boredom.
45 Minutes into the lesson, only 15 minutes left. I realised that I haven't done any work and I've been drawing the whole lesson. I sighed with tiredness until I felt someone tap me on the shoulder with a pen, it was the girl to my left. I looked confused as to why she got my attention.
"You can copy off me, I've noticed you haven't done anything at all." She whispered with a small laugh. I nod a little awkwardly whilst inspecting her outfit curiously. She wore black jeans, a black top along with a leather jacket. "Nice outfit." I smile, her smiling back. "Let's talk after class hm?" She whispered again, me nodding in agreement.
Class had finally ended. I started packing away my notebook and stationary. I couldn't help but notice the teacher staring at me, as if she was observing me like I'd done something wrong. I closed down my thoughts and as I was about to leave, the girl placed her hand on my shoulder making me stop walking.
I turn around and smile at her, her smiling back with a little giggle. "We haven't officially met, I'm Katherine." She offers me her hand and I take it, we shake hands before I spoke. "I'm Katarina, you can call me Kat at least that's what most people call me." I laugh with her laugh back. "Quite the similar names we have, hm? How about we go sit outside on the stone steps so you can copy off my notebook." A smile appears on her face as I nod in agreement.
We arrive at the stones steps, it wasn't something I had encountered before, they were large stone steps that were right in front of the soccer field, really great view.
"Your new, right?" Katherine asks, she looks at me with curiosity and I look right back at her nodding. "You know you sat next to one of the most popular boys right?" I look at her with confusion. "Wait, what do you mean?" "The boy you say next to, his name is Tom Kaulitz. I'm not sure how you even sat next to him, he doesn't let anyone sit next to him." 'Wait, what?!'.
Me and Kath have been sitting on the stone steps for around half an hour, I copied off her work as we talked, laughed and almost cried together.
As I was about to say something, a group of blonde girls came up to us. I look up at them and so does Katherine, "Can we help you?" Kath says in an annoyed tone. The girls keep their eyes on me along with a raging death stare. "You better watch your back, new girl." The group then walked away leaving me confused and Katherine annoyed. "Ignore those bitches." She says, clearly annoyed. "I guess you got High School drama now." She laughs, me still confused.
(Time Skip)
School hours ended and I met up with Katherine at the school gates. We were supposed to walk together before she found out that her dad was actually picking her up, leaving me to walk alone.
I walk out the gates just to be found by none other than the so called 'Tom Kaulitz'.
"Hey there girlie, what ya doin'?" He winks, leaning on the brick wall, he was way taller than I expected making me only as tall as his shoulders. "Going home what does it look like?" I cross my arms, leaning against the wall as well. "Not drooling over me yet?" He laughs getting closer to me. "My mission in life, to drool over annoying and distractive jerks." His smile immediately vanishes, looking at me with his head tilted. "Watch it newbie." "You watch it, self-obsessed coward." I laugh, shoving him as I walk past. He scoffs and walks the other direction.
