The meetings after the race were filled with smiles and congratulations towards both millie and lance, for both putting in amazing shifts for the start of the season. For them both to finish in the points meant everything to the two of them, and the team had gotten of to a great start in the constructors standings too. After the final meeting, Lance approached her.
"hey mil, wait up" she stopped walking and waited for him before they left the room together "this is very classic but all the drivers are heading to a club tonight to celebrate the season starting. you joining?" he asked her as they walked through the aston building "is that even a question! count me in" "will you need a lift?" he then asked "no i'd imagine me and ollie will find our way there" she smiled "no tension between the two of you yet?" she giggled "no not yet. maybe if we were fighting for similar positions then yes, but we are fine so far" the two of them laughed together as they exited the building, and she saw ollie already waiting outside for her. lance looked between the two of them and smiled when he saw the look on ollie's face as he saw the girl approaching. it was filled with nothing but love, and lance was happy that millie had someone like ollie in her life. He had watched her through formula 2, seeing all the hate she got because she was a girl. He really admired how she was able to shake it off and stay happy. It would be a lie to say Lance wasn't worried about how she would adjust to the f1 media, knowing some fans would be 10x worse towards her, but seeing how happy she was with ollie made him happy that she had someone to take her mind away from it all. He had only known her properly for a few weeks, but he would defend her with his life.
