Bethanys pov-

I left work early so that I could make it to the diner in time to see him, during my walk it begun to stir around in my mind what would happen if I talked to him today, I let multiple scenarios play out in my mind, I do this often but never grow the courage to actually talk to him.

I reached lemonade and ordered my usual but today I sat in his booth waiting for him to arrive not touching my food because of how nervous I was.

there he was walking through the glass door glancing at me and smiling widely he walked over to the order station and ordered whatever it was that he was feeling that day.

he walked over to the booth and sat across from me. I decided to spark up conversation.

"hey stranger" I spoke with shyness. He chuckled and smiled at m

"hello" he said with a cheeky smile

I laughed at the awkward moment we shared and he joined in on the laughter.

"so what's your name" he said to me with curiosity in his voice

"Bethany how about yours" I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice

"Jack" he smiled and looked down at his phone than looked up to me.

"can I see your phone, unlock it though" I nodedd curiously unlocking my phone handing it to him.

"I have to go but I put my number in your phone text

me why don't you" he said smirking I got up as did he and he gave me a hug. Then he was gone
