the two brothers turn around to see laiba waving brightly to them with a smile that reached her ears. they chuckle before going up to the girl. "i missed you guys so much." laiba hugs max with the most force she's used in a while.
"we literally saw you two days ago." max deadpanned. the girl glared at him before moving on to gabriel.
once they had let go of each other, laiba put their suitcases in her trunk and they all got into the car.
though the two brothers aren't from massachusetts, they're parents have a cabin in maine. so they decided to go see laiba for a couple days and then drive to the other house. usually laiba stays in la so they never really felt the need to stop by boston but i guess this year is different.
