Chapter 2- Eww! You licked me!

"Stop! There is a empty classroom let's hide in there", I said in between breaths. Max nodded and ducked into the classroom, pulled me in and pushed me against the wall putting his hand over my mouth. He looked out the window and ducked as the principal passed the classroom.

"Okay, the coast is clear",Max said with his body still pushed on mine. But while I was under this super attractive guy all I could think about is why his hand was still on my face, so I did what anyone would do in this situation.

"Eww! You licked me!", he whined. "Well you should probably keep that hand to yourself and it wouldn't happen".

I started walking to the door to leave and he grabbed my arm I whipped around and scary memories started feeling my head. "What the hell do you think you are doing?!", I screamed at him and snatched my arm away. "Geez sorry, cupcake I was just going to tell you that we should wait in here for a minute to make sure the principal is out of the hallway", he said holding his hands up in defeat. "Oh ok, well just call my name next time..." A blush crept up to my cheeks.

I walk over to one of the desks in the front of the classroom and sat in the seat. Max took the desk next to me. "So what's your story, cupcake?" "Well I was born in Kansas and then we moved here", I said with a shrug. "So it's that simple?, He said with a smirk plastered on his face. "Yep",I said popping the 'p'. "I will find out the rest of your story, cupcake",he said, his smirk deepening. "Oh really?"

I stayed in there for about 5 minutes until my next class started. The day went by pretty quick until last period which is home-ec. Lucky for me (note the sarcasm) Max was in that class with me.

"Oh hey, cupcake, stalking me now?, he said with a wink. I scoffed, "As if! This is my last period" we walked in together, but we split once we went through the door. He went to the back of the classroom, I think he lives there. I sat in the second row.

Ms.Rhink  started talking about the rules of her classroom and all the fees then gave out the syllabus for the class. "Now that we got the boring stuff out of the way, we can get to the fun stuff. Everyone grab a partner and for the rest of the class you will be interviewing them and finding out new things about them and tomorrow we will share." Ms.Rhink clapped her hands and put on a huge smile. I saw a girl sitting alone and walked up to her and asked to be her partner.

"Hi, I'm Jenny umm do you want to be partners?" I asked. "Yeah! Come sit!" She patted a seat next to her and I took it."My name is Rachel, Rachel King." She said with a smile on her face. I smiled back and we started working on our project.

"So how long have you lived in California?"

"Umm, for about five years but it's been in and out"

"Where did you live before moving to California?"

"I lived in Missouri for two years then I lived in Arizona for eleven years and now I'm here." Rachel stated!

"Oh that's cool you have been to some places, I've lived in Kansas my whole life."

"Oh, that's kinda cool, I've always wanted to visit there."

"Really?"

"Nope, just trying to make you feel better", she said with a laugh. I nudged her playfully on the arm. I felt something hit my neck and I looked around to see where it came from and turned around when I didn't see anything suspicious. "Ok, so are we going to meet at the library later today so we can finish the interview?" As Rachel nodded she looked up behind me and froze with her jaw down to her feet. "What?" I asked raising one eye brow. "Ma-Ma-Max!"She pointed behind me with a weak finger her face still in shock. I turn around only to have my face right in front of his crotch because he's so tall and I'm sitting.

I scream.

"What the actual fuck!?" With complete terror in my voice and face I stand up and mentally thank God that Ms.Rhink left to get something off the copying machine.

"Geez could you not stand so close?" I wisper/yelled at him because I was kind of embarrassed and I started to blush. " Oh, my bad cupcake, didn't meant to scare you." He said with a smirk plastered on his face. I really wanted to slap that stupid smirk off his face. " What do you want?" I was getting annoyed with Max by now. " Heard you got detention so I thought we could walk together since I have it to." Right when I was about to answer Rachel cleared her throat. I felt bad, I totally forgot she was there. "Sorry Rachel,Max have you met Rachel?" "I don't think I have had the pleasure. Hey Rachel". He winked at her. I don't know why but it kinda felt weird when I saw him do that. "H-hi I - I'm Rachel." She was so nervous and her cheeks were a dark shade of pink.
The bell rang just then and I was getting ready to go to detention.

"Umm,Max if you still want to walk together, we can", I said with a shrug."Ok cool",we both said bye to Rachel and left.
"So why did you decide to walk with me.", he gave me a slick smile. "Because I don't know where I'm going and I'm pretty sure you have been there plenty of times before." I smirked and his face dropped a little bit.
