Ever since I've been back I haven't seen gangjae so I asked taeju to find out that he has been kicked out.
I felt bad because Gangjae was trained by me so I had to ask the reason since he wouldn't be kicked out for loosing a fight plus he was my favorite fighter overall.
"Boss slashed his face since he tried to harass Jin woo, and also jin woo is working as our mole in police department" taeju dragged his cigarette and handed it to me as I took it taking a drag from it as well.
I sighed heavily, "where's Gangjae?" I asked as he shrugged.
I walked pass some random street I guessed Gangjae would be in one of these filthy streets and as expected I was right, he was sitting on a bench while smoking and his eyes were dropped down to the ground.
There were some men who seemed beaten up badly around him, I sighed stepping on men's who were on the ground groaning and made my way towards him.
He didn't look up to me when I stood Infront of him so I grabbed his chin making him look up at me, holding the eye contact.
His eyes were teary and moist, there was ugly scar from his eyes till his other side of the eyes leading to side of his nose, they were slashed in half.
He tried to pry off my hands but I grip his face harder making him stop his attempt to free himself, "does it hurt?" I asked while tracing his scars which felt rough and ugly.
He was silent but replied after some minutes, "are you disappointed?" He asked while avoiding eye contact as if out of shame and embarrassment.
"Why would I be disappointed?" I smiled at him.
"Because you trained me and I lost against a girl" he sighed almost crying.
"Jae" I put some of his hair away from his face and slowly put a kiss on his scars, he relaxed as expected.
I felt bad, I was suppose to feel bad after all ever since his first day at Dongcheon he has been nothing but a good ol boy who wanted me to train him since he couldn't ask Mujin or taeju.
I handed him the suitcase I was holding as he tilted his head in confusion, I took out a cigarette lighting it and gestured him to take it.
"One million, get settled I don't want to see you in these filthy streets" I handed the suitcase to him as he shook his head not accepting it but I shoved it towards him.
But to my unknown Choi mujin was watching me from afar smoking his cigarette while taeju stood behind him nervously.
Taeju wouldn't have been nervous if she didn't kiss Gangjae's scars he could see mujins veins pop out.
"Seriously " mujins asked bitterly more to himself than taeju.
Taeju immediately got the hint and cleared his throat before speaking, "boss he was her apprentice there's nothing going on between the two I have checked"
Mujin immediately grew defensive over this
, "why would I want to know, I just don't want any problem in the organization" he was actually glad that there was nothing going on between her and Gangjae. He was going to leave but decided to observe what she was going to do next.
I was going to leave but gangjae suddenly pulled me towards him catching me off guard and hugged me burying his face in my waist since he was sitting and I was standing.
"I failed you vesper" Gangjae mumbled as I sighed and stroked his hair, "No one has failed anyone here jae I don't want to see you in the streets do you understand?" I asked him as he nodded and let go of me, "yes ma'am"
Mujin should have just finished Gangjae instead of leaving such scars on him I was pissed no I was embarrassed?
I told Gangjae to leave as he did, I stood there smoking my cigarette.
Seriously? Slashing a guy's face and making him suffer instead of ending his pain by killing him, but deep down it wasn't anger....it was jealousy, jealousy because he has gotten close to someone else.
I felt mocked by this, as if Mujin was trying to proof that my training lacked since he trained Jin woo and she won, he trained her himself.
Mujin knew Gangjae was my favorite fighter, he knew i was his mentor yet he decided that.
But again his my leader.
"FUCK!" I shouted and kicked one of the guy that was beaten up by Gangjae and was laying injured on the ground, my kick sent him a good distance away from me as I groaned in annoyance.
Meanwhile Mujin who was observing her sighed, he has upset Lavinia yet again.
He dialed her number and called her while watching her seeing if she would pick up or not
My phone rang as i pulled it out from my pocket to find Mujin calling, I slicked back my hair and smashed the phone on the wall angrily and stomped on it untill it was crashed to pieces.
It was not Gangjae I was mad at, I was mad that he favoured Jin woo he prefers Jin woo over me, a rookie over me.
Coming to think of it he never said he was proud of me, he never trained with me, he never cared to take care of any men that approached me.
But he slashed a fighters face for a rookie, for Jin woo.
He enrolled her in a police department, how great is that.
She made him chamomile tea, she knew he couldn't sleep.
Are they dating? There were clear signs showing they were dating I'm pretty sure they're.
Why? Why am I feeling this???
Mujin got inside the car while taeju drove him to his penthouse, "tell Jin woo to update me" he ordered as taeju nodded.
"And..." Mujin was not sure whether to say it or not.
"Ask Lavinia if she wants to go somewhere" Mujin looked away as taeju smirked, "somewhere? where boss?" Taeju pretended not to know what he was saying.
"What do you mean where? Don't you know where I usually go?" Mujin glared back at taeju through the rear mirror as taeju apologized and nodded quickly.
Mujin was talking about the small bar she first suggested to visit after she won her first fight ever since that it became his favorite and often visited when he could.
