1: first day

Max's pov:

I wake up at the sound of my obnoxious alarm. 6:30 am in the damn morning can't I just go back to sleep for 5 minutes? Oh well I guess I can't rlly it's the first day of school... yay I guess? I groan as I stumble out of my bed looking like a hot wreck. I look at myself in the mirror, yikes. I stumble to my closet and open the door. What to wear today? After like 10 minutes I finally decide on a pair of red converse, a nirvana band tee, and some black cargo's. "Max! are you all ready for school?" My mom yells from downstairs "yes mom coming!"

I tie up my shoelaces, grab my phone, and rush downstairs. I look around and I see that mom made pancakes, "there you are! Excited for junior year?" She asked excitingly "not really mom, don't you remember what happened last year? That's sorta why it's a new school." I say annoyed. She Sits the plate of two pancakes and a side of syrup on the dining room table for me as I go to sit down. I cut into those beautiful fluffy pancake and go to take a bite but before my brain can comprehend what I'm doing it stops. "You don't deserve to eat" I hear "don't eat it" these voices in my head say to me. "You know I'm suddenly not hungry! Must just be some nerves" I lied. As I put my plate in the sink and feed the rest of my pancakes to the dog. I go in the living room to see Alyssa my younger sister watching SpongeBob eating a bowl of cereal. I can't believe she's going into fifth grade! She's gotten so big!

I walk over to her "hey ally! You excited for fifth grade?" I ask her with enthusiasm "not really, last year the fifth graders were really mean to me, I don't want that to happen again!" She said. I look at her and I say to her "hey don't worry! Fifth grade isn't gonna be terrible I promise you if there's any bullies just let a teacher know and I will be there as soon as I humanly can." I assure her "you pinky promise?" She asks sincerely "I pinky promise ally."  "Alright both of you in the car! I'm not trying to be late on the first day" mom says "got it!" Me and ally say to mom. We pet our dog toffee, grab our book bags and we head out to the car. As we get into the car the radio turns on and it starts playing party in the USA by Miley Cyrus (aka ally's favorite song in the whole world) and mom sighs and giggles as ally sings the lyrics at the top of her lungs

She song finishes and ally is out of breath from singing it too loud and just I time because we finally stopped at her school! Mom says goodbye and has me walk her in, things didnt go well last year when she did it... as we're walking in ally grabs my hand tight and says "I'm scared max" I get down and looker her and say "I promise you there's nothing to be afraid of ok? Pinky promise. I'm only a phone call away!" "Ok, I love you!" She says to me as she walks slowly into her classroom. I walk back to the car and now it's my turn. Junior year. New school new me.

"Well we're here!" My mom says as I slowly sink into my seat and grab my book bag "bye mom! Have a good day" I smile to her but as soon as I turn away that smile is gone. This is a new place! I don't know who's nice and who's mean, which people cause drama, I don't even know my school schedule fully. Luckily I know the names of teachers on my schedule I walk up to a random person and ask "hey do you know where I could find geometry with Mr Rivera?" They look at me funny. "Find it yourself freak!" First day first insult. Wow. I ask another person "hey excuse me do you know where I could find geometry? Mr rivera's class? Luckily it's a better look than the other girl "oh yea of course! I'm averi! What's your name?" She asks me. "Oh I'm max! So do you know where Mr Rivera's class is?" I ask solemnly "yea! It's right down the hall first door on ur left! Oh and I'm sorry about Tina she can be a brat sometimes!" We laugh together "oh and hey I have that class too! See you there new friend!"

"New friend?"
