ERYX POV
I woke up before my alarm clock went off this morning and quickly ran to my brother's room, banging on the door. When he opened the door, looking startled and annoyed, he asked me, "It's 5 in the morning. Why are you already up?".
"I was too excited for my date!" I screamed. "Coffee date" he corrected me with a smug smile. "A date is a date" I smile proudly, and he rolled his eyes. "You said you'd help me get ready," I grab his hand and lead him into my room. "OK, I'll take a quick shower and do some skincare and-" I was cut off. "Yeah, yeah. Just get ready already," he dismisses me.
After I was done showering and doing my daily skincare, I came out with a towel covering my chest and hair. To my surprise, my brother was still in my room. He said, "I already picked out your outfit. I'll be going now," and he got up and left.
I put on the dark blue knee-length dress that my brother picked out for me. Looking in the mirror, I notice that the wrap-style waist compliments my figure and the beige cardigan gives me a cozy and feminine look.
Sorting through my wardrobe, I select a pair of dark blue heels to match my outfit. Heading to the vanities, I open the drawer to select the perfect accessory for the evening: a silver collar necklace.
I then check my appearance one last time before heading out to meet my date.
I feel confident. I went down stairs and went straight inside the kitchen where my brother is cook breakfast. He was cook Adobo.
TIME SKIP
After having breakfast, my brother offered to drive me to work but I kindly declined, noting that I have my own car. Taking a peek at my watch, it was 6:45 AM.
"Axe must be at work already," I thought as I slowly made my way to my car. Once inside, I fired up the engine and headed out. Thankfully, the traffic was light today. Soon, I arrived at my workplace at 7:50 AM.
Upon exiting my car, I greeted the receptionists with a quick "Good morning" and headed towards the elevator. I pressed the button for the tenth floor, making my way up after a long and peaceful elevator ride. After arriving on the tenth floor, I was ready to get some work done before the date I had planned for this evening.
I looked forward to my "coffee date" or as I preferred to call it, a date, and maybe it would get spicy in the end. I was probably delusional, but I didn't want my fantasy ruined. I organized my paperwork and headed down to the ninth floor to meet up with Axe and pretend like I just arrived.
"Hey, Axe," I greeted her with a smirk, trying to maintain the ruse. "Good morning," I added casually, trying to portray that I was just starting my day as usual.
"Good morning too, Eryx," she smiled. I was blushing, my face burning with embarrassment. She studied me up and down, and I wasn't sure what to say. I finally managed to reply, "You look gorgeous too."
She wore a black, button-up blouse with a pair of dress pants, a classic combo that made her look professional and attractive. It made my heart flutter, she was stylish and beautiful at the same time.
"Ready for our coffee date?" asked Axe, reaching out with his hand, and I couldn't help but blush as I took it. "Don't we have work?" I protested softly, feeling embarrassed as I turned into a tomato. "Don't worry about that, I already told Jerry and he says it's fine."
She pulled me close to her and we walked into the elevator. The doors shut, and I looked up at her and look at her beautiful feathers.
She had long brown hair, smooth, and soft tan skin, beautiful brown eyes and long, lush eyelashes, and she is tall like 5'9 or taller.
The elevator doors opened, revealing the bustling ground floor. We walked out of the building and into the bustling city, the world suddenly full of color, sounds, and people. Everywhere I looked, there was life- people chatting, laughing, eating, and working.
As we made our way through the crowd, I took notice of Axe, her warmth and grace setting her apart from the crowd. She carried herself with a certain elegance, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of attraction as we navigated the busy streets towards the coffee shop.
We walk in the nearby coffee shop and we sat at the nearest table. The waiter came to us and ask for our orders. "Hi!." The waiter greeted me and Axe with a smile and I'm sure it's a fake one.
"I would like a chocolate-chip banana bread with a mocha and a hot chocolate please," Axe ordered and the waiter nodded and he turn to look at me.
"A fruit-topped cream cheese danish with a matcha latte and a green tea please cake" I said shyly and he just nodded.
The waiter asks, "And who will be paying?"
Before I have a chance to respond, Axe interjects, "I am." Her response to the waiter shows her willingness to take charge on the date, and the waiter leaves after receiving her answer.
