The Future || Demon Slayer FanFic

Chapter 1

  "Please! Stop! Why are you doing this to me..." a voice said in between sobs. A Demon Slayer, with their arms and ankles chained tight. It was dark unable to see, but the only thing that the Slayer was able to see was two bright red eyes glowing a few steps away from the Slayer. The Slayers breathe was shaky, their heart beating fast, trying to find a way out.

   "Don't bother trying to escape. There is no way out." Nezuko says, and the only thing heard were heals clicking on the ice cold floor walking towards the slayer.

"Tell me, what's your name?" Nezuko says standing in front of the Slayer.

  'Her eyes are terrifying to look at...' The Slayer thought, and then quickly broke the eye contact between each other.

    "Kie... Kie Kimura." Kie says in a shaky voice, still looking around to maybe locate her katana. It stayed quiet for a few seconds before Kie felt a hand brush her cheek, until that contact went away once Nezuko went around the Slayer to stand behind her resting her hands on the sides of the chair Kie is sitting on.

    "You have the same name as my deceased Mother." Nezuko says with a small smirk on her face. Kie breathes out as if she had been holding her breath the whole time. In fear she finally decides to ask the question she's been meaning to ask this whole time. "Who are you...?"

   ...

"The Future."

"Have you heard what happened last night?" Inosuke said as he walked into the room that was occupied by Tanjiro. Tanjiro looked at Inosuke confused, obviously not familiar with this information.

"No, I haven't..." Tanjiro said as he put down his katana that he was cleaning, "What is it?"
Inosuke sighed and sat down next to Tanjiro, "Apparently another slayer went missing last night. She went to a mission and never came back." He said as he looked down at the floor.

  Tanjiro had a disappointing look on his face. "What was her name..?" Tanjiro said.

"If I remember correctly... I think it was the same name as your mother. Kie. Kie Kimura." Inosuke said. Tanjiro's eyes widened and then a sad look formed on his face but was more visible in his eyes.

   "Oh I see." Tanjiro said and went quiet slowly focusing his eyes back on his katana.

"Do you think it was... Nezuko?" Inosuke said with a serious look on his face staring at Tanjiro. Tanjiro's hands turned into fists. "She wouldn't. She wouldn't go that far, she knows better." Tanjiro said with his voice raised staring at Inosuke as he did before.

   Inosuke put his hand on Tanjiro's shoulder. "I hope so too, Tanjiro." Inosuke said just before he got up to exit the room.

Tanjiro turned his eyes back to his katana, and went back to cleaning silently. Just imagining that this was Nezuko's doing broke his heart. It made him feel like there was no hope for her, as if her humanity was just... gone.

"Nezuko-sama you must not be so careless. These bodies you have been eating, you haven't even been covering it up. Soon Slayers will find out where we are located if you continue with this." Uppermoon 1 says. Both demons were walking around the woods, looking for food. Nezuko stopped in her tracks to turn around facing Uppermoon 1.

   "Do not give me orders." Nezuko glared at Uppermoon 1, who was named Ito.

"I already killed you once. I can easily do it again." Nezuko said still glaring at Ito for a few seconds before she turned back around continuing to walk as she did. Ito sighed out of relief and quickly followed after her.

"I've been this careless for a good reason Ito." Nezuko said. "I've been killing humans left and right to finally get my brother and his little friends out of hiding, so I can finally get to enjoy killing them." Nezuko said. Ito nodded understanding. "Plus, If I eat them, then I get more power, and that power that I will get will also go to all the demons I have created which will make us ten times stronger than these pathetic slayers." Nezuko said turning her head towards Ito smirking slightly.

  Ito turned looking at Nezuko, smiling with joy.

"I understand, Nezuko-sama." Ito says as she looked forward again.
