-I DID NOT LIKE HIM.

I let out a content sigh, happy that I wouldn't have to be around anyone anymore. I live in a dorm alone because when I got here, there was an extra room and not a roommate for me. I'm so glad that it happened.

"Ellaaa." My brother's voice rang through my ears. "Channn." I smiled. "Come on." He grabbed my hand, pulling me to the entrance of the building to leave. "I haven't even put away my things yet." I saw him shrug.

We finally reached his black jeep that I begged to paint a dark sage green, but he said no. He opened the passenger door for me, only going to his side once I was in and closing the door.

"So, what's the surprise?" I asked. "You'll see, you'll see." He laughed, starting up the car. "I'm impatient." I bit my lip. "You're the most patient person ever." He laughed. "Am so not!" I fake pouted. "Remember when I said that you're getting a laptop but it would come in a month and you waited a month without nagging about how long it's taking?" He asked, grinning.

"I- fair point." I sighed. In about twenty minutes, we arrived at the small house that was decorated nicely. Two plants on either side of the door, light green grass with sprinklers on. The house was a blue, the parkway stone with flowers on the sides of it.

Chandan opened my door for me, closing it. I walked up the two stairs to the front porch. Chandan was beside me, knocking three times.

Soon enough, aunt Prissy opened the door. Along with her were three dogs who loved me dearly, but couldn't give a damn about my brother.

"Hi, Ella. Hi, Chan." Prissy smiled widely. She had blue siren eyes, her hair raven black, straightened. She had a straight, defined jawline, an upturned button nose like me.

Two pitbulls barked happily, another pair of two German Shepherds. One of them had their head between her legs, the other next to the pitbulls.

I crouched down, placing my hand on the German Shepherd who was between Aunt Prissy's legs. Her name was Christella. She was once mine, but I had to go to college so I had to leave her with my aunt who loves dogs, so it wasn't a problem at all.

"Hi, Chrissy!" I cooed, smiling widely. She barked. "Who's been a good girl?" I asked as if I'm talking to a baby. Christella barked again. The pitbull, Chris, whined and put his head in the space between me and Christella, moving my arm.

I chuckled softly, petting his soft fur. I heard Chandan huff. Looking up, I told him to come pet the other German Shepard, Mitsy. He rolled his eyes, nevertheless bent down and placed his hand on her.

The last pitbull licked all over my face, begging for attention. His name is Elis. I giggled, putting my hands on the sides of his little face and kissed his forehead.

"Ella, the surprise." Chan nudged me. I softly stuck out my bottom lip, then sighed and got up. "It was nice seeing my babies." I kissed everyone but Christella's forehead, kissing her nose.

My brother took my hand in his hold, dragging me inside. Aunt Prissy was now telling the cute dogs to go lay down.

My brother led me through the hallways I knew so very much, stopping at one with a closed door. I looked at Chandan, lifting an eyebrow. What was this about?

"Open the door." My brother chuckled, moving behind me and putting his hands on my shoulders.

Slowly, I wrapped my fingers around the cold, gold colored door knob. I twisted my fist, seeing the door move away from the frame of it and open.

The thing or rather person I saw made every thought I had disappear, only thinking of the betrayal and rejection. The thought alone made my blood boil with fury. All I wanted was to crush him until he couldn't come back up.
