Kenma didn't notice herself holding her breath as she intently stared at the said first years playing basketball. No doubt, These guys were monsters. The amount of pure talent was slightly overwhelming for Kenma. The girl wonders if it's even possible for many geniuses to be gathered at one place.

Kenma doesn't know a thing about basketball but according to the girl's observation, Akashi seems to be fast and an excellent ball-handler. The boy tends to access the situation before making a move. The girl can't help but think that the boy was playing basketball like one would play chess or shogi. Kenma shrugged at the thought thinking that she's just overthinking  things.

On the other hand the boy named Aomine is also exceptionally fast and agile. The boy tends to pull off amazing stunts to score. Kenma can't quite comprehend the boy's play style. It's ridiculously amazing.

The boy named Midorima has a ridiculous aim. The boy shoots with his left hand. Kenma wouldn't believe it if someone told her that a person can shoot with ridiculous precision despite being so far away from the basket. However the girl herself witness the thought to be impossible scene. The green haired boy can score from the mid-section of the court. Kenma can't help but be amazed at this.

And lastly the purple haired boy named Murasakibara with his long arms and legs, the boy can catch up easily and block a shot. No doubt, the boy was so exceptional at defense. Kenma doesn't know a thing about basketball but she's no fool to not realize the immense talent that these guys possess.

"So what do you think?" Nijimura who was beside her asked as he stared at the Kenma who seems to be lost in thoughts. The girl sighed, Kenma can't help but doubt herself if she's capable enough to be their manager. After all these guys were no joke.

"I still can't understand Nijimura-san, I'm sure there are better options other than me to be a manager..." Kenma stated with a blank gaze.

"I'm just a nobody Nijimura-san, I'm sure that whatever your expectations are in me, It is nothing but a mere concept"

Nijimura can't help but frown at the tone of certainty in the girl's voice. It was as if what was stated was the pure truth. With a sense of conviction, Nijimura opened his mouth to reply.

"But Kozume-san, why do you sound so sure when you haven't even tried yet" Nijimura retorted with a slight smile.

"..."

"I have a new offer for you, Kozume-san..."

Kenma tilt her head slightly confused of what offer was the boy talking about. At the same time she can't help but be curious about this "offer".

"Temporarily join the basketball club till your second year end, let's see who's right, whether it's you or me" Nijimura said with a wide grin.

"If you're correct I'll let your leave but If I proved to be right you'll officially join the club, what do you think Kozume-san?" Nijimura stated as he gazed at the girl intently as if challenging her.

"..."

Kenma frowned at that as if in great turmoil then she sighed in defeat as she lowered her head. "...Fine" she quietly mumbled, enough to be heard by Nijimura. The boy couldn't help but grin in victory at what he heard.

The girl couldn't help but scratched her head as she think about all her life choices. Kenma was a person whose daily life was fairly normal, wherein, there were no eventful days nor emotional ones. Kenma would describe her life to be predictable, she's just an average person after all. All she did was fitting in.

Kenma actually likes fitting in rather than standing out. She's afraid people might judge her after all. Others may not mind what others think/say about them but to Kenma it is important. She would rather like for people to not know or remember her at all than people having ill intent towards her. Malicious words can destroy a person after all.

The girl doesn't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing that she will temporarily join the basketball club. But for now, she will just let this stupid thing called 'destiny' to play out.

___________

Kenma let out a yawn as she woke up from her slumber for a new school day. The girl almost thought that what happened yesterday was just a dream. But who was she joking it was too vivid and too real to be a dream nor an aftermath of video gaming. Although the pudding head wouldn't mind if it was a dream. She let out an annoyed grumble, not really in the mood to go to school.

Kenma takes small steps on her way to school as she hummed as if to entertain herself. Kenma's soul almost left her body when suddenly a dark blue blur suddenly passed by. It was unbelievably close to her figure and just quickly zoomed past her. The girl blankly stared at nothing as her mind register that she was almost run over by a human being.

It was an odd incident, Kenma almost thought that she would be the first case of isekaid by being run over by a human. It was possible since the blue blur seems huge, enough to kill a small human.

Kenma looked down at her white shoe that had a big shoe print-like dirt. "I just washed this..." she mumbled to herself with a frown.

As Kenma arrived at her class, she slumped at her desk then dropped her head on the table as if sulking. Whoever stepped on her shoe, Kenma wished that they would step on their shoe lace and then fall, head first. It may seem petty but this would surely make her happy.

Meanwhile, the culprit was a certain tan skinned boy with dark blue hair. Aomine who unknowingly stepped on Kenma's shoe suddenly sneezed and felt a shiver down his spine. It was as if someone was wishing for his death.

This idea suddenly appeared in his head, then Aomine thought of a certain pink haired. She's the first person in Aomine's mind who he thinks has killing intent towards him.

First thing in the morning, she insisted for Aomine to accept the lunch she cooked for him since his mom forgot to cook him lunch. The pure terror made the boy ran for his life.

The boy was so relieved when he lost the girl by running away as fast as he could, not even caring if he accidentally bumped into someone. It was safe to say that Aomine would rather starve than be food poisoned.
