Mackenzie pov
After Mariah had dropped me off at home after eating dinner with her and getting ice cream, i was laying in my bed as my phone went off
I smiled leaning over and grabbing it knowing at was Anna and Maya
"Did i go too far today?" Maya asked as i chewed on my lip
"Maybe, a little?" I said
"I mean, like, it was definitely, like, intense. umm"
"I mean, i probably shouldn't have said that about his dad"
"Yeah"
"I mean, it was crazy. But, like, his dad did die. It was just a fact" Anna said
"Oh, wait, Na, Kenz" Maya said before going quiet
"Mayi?"
"Maya?"
"hello? Maya?"
"Hold on"
"Ok"
"What are you doing?"
"Maya, are you there?"
"Oh, my God. Kenz, Na!"
"Yeah?"
"What?"
"Oh, my God"
"what?'
"Maya, what?"
"Holy f-balls"
Dressed in a pink crop top, with ripped jeans, white and pink Nikes, i met up with Maya and Anna
Last night, Shuji had given Maya a map to a bathroom apparently all of the "UGIS" name's were written in there
We made it to the bathroom as we looked at each other, before nodding and going inside.
Maya went inside, as Anna and I stood outside just keeping watch
"Shes gonna be okay, right?" Anna asked as i nodded
"Yeah, shes strong. We're gonna be here the whole time" I smiled as Anna sighed laying her head on mine
Maya came out of the bathroom nodding, Anna placed her arm around Maya's shoulders, as i placed my arm around her waist
"I cant do this" Maya said stopping in the middle of the hallway
"I dont wanna face everyone" Maya said her voice cracking "I dont wanna do ninth grade"
"Well, we aren't doing ninth grade without you" I said looking at her as Anna nodded
"No, its gonna be a lot easier for you guys now. I mean, like, you guys should go"
"Maya"
"Honey"
"You are our actual rainbow gel pen, in a sea of blue and black writing utensils, like.."
"We cant do this without you, My" I added
"Really?"
"Duh"
"So, us three, we'll do it together?" She asked as Anna and I nodded
"Yeah"
"of course"
"Just one step at a time" Anan said as i smiled
"And its not like its gonna last forever"
"Yeah, its not"
