Rings and Little

Christmas Eve, Brian was terrified. He wanted to give them their rings today, so he could see them wear them Christmas morning, but he didn't know if they'd like them at all.

He'd spent two hours the day before ranting to Anthony, who just messaged him saying if they didn't like the rings then they were idiots. And they were smarter than that, they'd love them.

Jon was bouncing around, having been coming in and out of little space all day. He was out of it right now, helping Tyler make some Christmas cookies. Brock and Evan were in their recording rooms doing some editing on videos and Brian was pacing their bedroom.

How did he go about giving them their rings? He had all four wrapped in their boxes under the tree, hidden in the branches. They'd been piling all their gifts under there the last few days as they came in, and Brian thought they all had gotten each other two or three presents per person.

Brian had gotten them all two each that they could see, the third being their rings. They were going to do a single gift exchange at lunch, so each person would have one from each of the others.

The door opened and Brock walked in, looking curious. "You okay Brian?" He asked softly and Brian smiled faintly at him. "Overthinking things again, you know me. Did you finish your video?" He asked and Brock nodded, walking to him and wrapping his arms around Brian's waist.

Brian sighed happily as he hugged Brock back, feeling his tension melt away. Brock always had that air about him, having been the one to comfort all of them for years. It came with being the mom friend he assumed.

"Lunch is almost ready, you wanna come down? Tyler kept Jon from completely destroying the kitchen for once," he said jokingly and Brian laughed. "A true Christmas miracle you know," he said and Brock laughed.

They headed downstairs to see Tyler pulling the cookies from the oven, Jon sitting on one of the stools with frosting all over his fingers. Brock rolled his eyes as Jon licked them clean, winking at Brian and Brock.

"You can put those skills to use later, Jon," Brian said with a wink and Jon flushed, making the other three laugh.

Evan joined them a minute later, stretching his arms above him. They all heard his back crack a few times as he did so and Brock raised an eyebrow. "You have the worst posture while working, did you know that?" He said and Evan stuck his tongue out at him.

"Anyway, lunch is ready," Tyler said, handing out plates of grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. They all went to sit around the table, laughing and joking with each other.

"So, presents?" Jon asked eagerly once their plates were cleared and Brock perked up, nodding. Brian smiled, trying to hide his nerves.

The five went to the living room, sitting on the floor as they all chose a gift to give the others. Brian's hands shook as he handed out each of the small boxes, wrapped in larger boxes so they couldn't immediately tell they were jewelry boxes.

"Let's open per person, so you all open mine first," Tyler insisted and Brian picked up the package with Tyler's name on it. They all tore into the paper, Tyler sitting back looking satisfied.

Brian grinned amused, looking at the sweater that said I'm Not Doing The Voice. He laughed and Tyler grinned at him, looking over at Jon who was laughing at his shirt that said Professional Teddy Bear Inspector. Brian recognized the font from the TV show Supernatural.

Brock rolled his eyes amused and Brian read his shirt that said If I'm Mom, Then You're Grounded. Evan's shirt said I'm Here To Fuck Shit Up. "Where did you get these?" Evan asked amused and Tyler said, "Personalised shirt stores on etsy. Jon's was already made, because it's a Supernatural quote, but it was too good to pass up."
