Today was the day, the announcement that UEFA were promoting for months. Teasers, rumours and sneak peeks on social media

Many footballers around world were watching as it was promoted as "News that will be groundbreaking for the footballing world and has never been done on this scale"

As the live press conference was aired, one of the UEFA officials was on the podium

"It is my privilege and much to my excitement that a new international cup is coming to the beautiful game.

Many ears perked up and interest grew.

"The format will be follow the rules and progression of the world cup and Euros. This including qualifications to group stages to the finals."

This made some confused, was this just another World Cup?

" so I am happy to announce that Unity World Cup will be hosted in Wembley Stadium"

This immediately got excitement for many as Wembley is one if he most Iconic Stadiums in football history. It also lit fires in all England players who wanted to play for country and in Wembley

"And now for what will make this tournament unique. The international team will be mixed....meaning the teams will be made up by men and women from the countries international pool of players"

The reporters immediately jumped up taking pictures and asking questions

Fans were mixed. A majority were intrigued and excited about such a concept happening. Though some laugh at the thought of women playing alongside men.

But a lot of positives came from the footballers were wanted to get involved. Especially the lions and lionesses were eager and passionate about such a tournament. England hasn't won the world cup since 1966 but maybe together they can win the Unity World Cup together

Meanwhile Serena Wiegman who was picked for englands mens and womens team knew about about the event much like other managers was putting her team together. But a certain boy has caught her eye in the K League 1. A hidden gem someone who can bring the team and country closer
