Of course she had to fucking come here. I had been talking to Coella, Miss Martini, when the damned secretary came in. I was so glad to be firing her.

Soon, this woman would be gone, and replaced by Martini. When Olivia came into the job I had enjoyed working with her. That was until she got me drunk for sex non stop, and consisted we hooked up.

And now she had fucked it up for Coella. I couldn't believe it. I glared at her and slammed my door shut once Coella had left with her daughter. "What the fuck were you thinking, Olivia?"

"What do you mean?" She purred, walking over and attempting to shove her tits in my face.

Tsk.

I pushed her off with a clenched jaw and sent her to the door. "Olivia." I glared at her. "I don't want to see you ever again. You're fired." I grunted, pushing her out.

"Oh, but Hunter!" She whined, and I slammed the door in her face. How dare she even call me by my first name. I swallowed down a thick portion of whiskey, trying to keep the anger wheeled inside of me.

I sat down at my chair and shut my eyes, letting my thoughts flow to Coella.

We'd never met before, but I'd heard of her loads. Her father hired me a few months back to protect her, and it was rather an easy task, being able to set up hidden cameras around the apartment.

They weren't always on, it was only when we had alarms that she could be in danger would I check it. Yes, I had a whole tech team on her.

They were my most trusted workers, and would never look at something that I didn't want them to. Or her father, for that matter.

The job wasn't set up for Coella to come here, it was rather coincidence. But I was sure now that she would get it.

We needed protection put on Coella because of her fathers worry. He claims she had had a stalker following her and Arabella everywhere. We don't have a name yet, or who he could be, but even her father doesn't know why.

Only thing is, we haven't told Coella just because she has to bare Arabella and it isn't safe to feed a young child strong information.

I sighed and opened my eyes, my head feeling dizzy from the rush intake of alcohol.

"Gray." I called out, knowing he was outside. He walked in my office immediately, a cold expression on his face, but a hint of sarcasm glistened in his silver eyes.

"Jackass!" He grinned, making fun of my last name. I rolled my eyes and glared at him, but stood up to give him a manly welcome.

When he pulled away, his eyebrows raised in a somewhat amused way. "I saw love dove leaving the office a few moments ago. Care to explain?" He sat down, feet up on the desk as if it was his own.

He lit a cigarette and whistled lowly. I leaned back and smoked my own smoke. "I fired her." I grinned as he nearly choked on his cigarette.

"What a shame, she was a sweet one." He coughed, clearing his throat. "Although, I did just see a hot redhead pass. The little chap with her may be too young for you." He laughed, and I slapped his shoulder.

"She's my new secretary. I'm hoping." I paused for a moment, considering how much to tell him. "I highly suggest you stay away from her. Unless.." I paused again, a small crease forming between my brow. I ran a hand over my scraggly chin.

"Unless you'd help me protect her?" A small smirk tugged at Grays lips as I spoke.

"A pretty rose is always a prize. This may just be my lucky day." He grinned and I smiled, hugging him again.

"So," he pulled back. "When do I get to meet her?"

"You get to meet her.." I frowned and paused. "Well. I'll phone her and say she's accepted, then when she comes in tomorrow to learn the basics you can come round."

"Sounds good." Gray clicked his tongue and clinked his glass with mine.

Hm. Sounds good, indeed.

______________

I cleared up my desk and made my way to the cloak hanger, where I heaved on my ankle length black one. I heard a sudden crash against the window pane, and I looked outside.

Fucking Britain and it's rain.

With an annoyed grunt, I slammed the door shut behind me and raced down to my car. I broke limit, speeding down to the bar where I spent my days.

Until she'd come along, I thought.

I rubbed my temples and got out the canyenne. I made my way to the bar, and walked inside. It was shaped like a saloon, with a very western appearance.

I sat down and called up some water. Ice cold, I just needed to drown in thoughts with no one to distract me. Yet, the loud rush of the bar helped with that. I could battle the obstacles to find what I needed to think about.

I looked around, then back down. The water looked so peaceful, lifeless. It almost looked like a spirit, and inside that glass, I saw my reflection. And then it changed to Coella, for a split second Arabella, then disappeared. I closed my eyes and sighed.

I was just imagining things again. With a grunt of frustration, I pushed the stool back and stumbled out of the saloon.

A piercing scream stopped me halfway from my car. I was about to open the door, but it sounded so painfully familiar. I rushed towards the noise and froze.

My hand was wrapped around the wall so hard I could feel cobblestone crumble under my touch.

And there was Olivia, bleeding on the floor.

Dead.
