When she had first awoken from her coma, she had no idea who she was or who the people around her when she awoke were.
Apparently she was happily married and a surgeon and one of the greatest things that ever happed to her husband Jim Clancy.
Jim was the definition of patient with Marina and the definition of the perfect husband. He never pushed her to remember him quickly, like her mother did.
She and Jim realised the best thing was to let her older sister and her husband live with them, so if Marina needed the help Melinda would be there for her.
