Once the young witch was finally able to go back home she didn't wait another second. Hermione apparated straight to her house to carry on with searching for her parents' killer. The time she had spent in St Mungos had put her search back and with her having four others to come live with her and also go back to her job she didn't know when she would get time again.

"A couple of hours of research then I'll start getting the house cleaned up" was what she had told herself but it didn't happen.

Her head stuck in her research not keeping an eye on the time until it was too late. Glancing at the time on the wall her colour faded.

"Damit, I took that long and still no where" It was the next day, she was researching all night. "Guess no sleep for me today" she sighed whilst getting up and looking at the mess that surrounded her.

Bits of paper from all sorts of places scattered all over the table and floor as well as glasses, mugs and plates. The only times she left her seat was to get food, drink or find something in the piles to help her.

"Nothing, no where" Hermione repeated to herself multiple times while tears slowly fell down her soft cheeks.

Half an hour later she was standing there not knowing what to think, she wanted to have gotten at least a little further but she was still at the same place she was when she started the day after their deaths.

"AHHHHHH" wanting to get all the anger and failure she felt out of her system. Angry hot tears raced down her face.

"Nothing, fucking nothing" she carried on repeating.

All the thoughts of cleaning and preparing the house flew out of her mind. "I am failing" was the next thing she repeated to herself. It was like she was in a trance with no escape, just her and her emotions. Hermione was trapped with her worst enemy, her mind.

At St Mungos however Draco knew something was off, his chest tightened so he proceeded to leave the room he was in with his family and stood in the corridor. Worry and panic spread through his whole body. "She's in danger," he whispered to himself.

His colour started to fade and the feeling of being sick came to his stomach. "I need to find her" the blond haired male stated to himself which made his feet move. Not knowing where his feet were taking him he just looked forward and accepted that his heart knew where to find her again.

After an hour off walking his feet stopped outside of a house, a house he knew all too well. The smashed window that he had been the cause of to save her. Here he was again but this time the door was unlocked.

Not wanting to scare her or anyone who he thought could possibly be in there with her, he proceeded with caution and silently made his way inside and followed the screams. The blonds head pounding as something in the back of his mind told him that he has heard that painful scream before. Pushing the thought away he found his way to her and saw the mess.

The woman who he calls his Goddess sat on the floor screaming and crying in pain whilst digging her nails in her arm to the point he saw blood. Without a second thought he ran to her and made his way down to the floor opposite her. The blond pulled the brunette into a warm embrace while separating her nails and arms not wanting her to harm herself anymore. Rocking slowly while playing with her hair in a soothing way whilst whispering soothing words in her ear.

The brunette woman didn't know what to do but accepted that Draco had found her again and fell into his warm embrace. It was the comfort she needed but wouldn't ask for. It had been years since someone had held her this way. Her cries got louder and she had wrapped around him tightly not wanting to let go.

"You are a strong Goddess Hermione" was all he was whispering in her ear. Her heart squeezed, she needed to hear something like this but it also just brought more pain to her heart.

Draco feeling her holding him tighter he decided to do the same and slowly began tightening his hold on her. All he wants is for her to stop being in pain with whatever it was he wanted to do nothing more than help her.

"I am here and I won't leave" He spoke to her softly, which made her choke on her cries.

"I will help take this pain away, no matter what" he began to speak, which is when she pulled her head away from his neck and looked into his grey eyes.

"I don't care what it is, let me help you bring an end to what is causing you this amount of pain" The witch couldn't take her eyes away and her heart loosened a bit with his words.

Draco, feeling her pain slowly go just carried on holding her while he looked into the brown orbs he has been dreaming about since he could remember.

"I'll be your shoulder and your safe space for how ever long you need me princess"

Hearing the nickname Hermione's eyebrow raised in confusion which made Draco laugh.

"Don't like the new nickname?" He chuckled

"No, I'm just confused on why I've gone from goddess to princess" Hermione jokes

"Well I don't want you to get tired of hearing Goddess so I've been thinking of others, cupcake" Draco teased. Hermione couldn't help but laugh.

Draco was happy that he was helping with the pain and made a promise to himself to always be there or find her when she was in danger again, especially to herself.
