The Longbottoms

Chapter 3

As soon as we see our kids get put in their houses we give them a tour of the castle and this will take a while. Their is a bunch of "ooh's" and "aah's" about the whole thing. We told them that since they are first years they are forbidden to go into the dark forest and Hagrid will tell us if you do since his hut is right by the forest. We tell them all goodnight and then we go to bed to prepare for class tomorrow and so we can be in a good mood for our first class.

Today Jessica and Elisia go to their first class which is with their dad. It's about herbology and they go and see screaming plants. Oh the screaming plants I remember them all very well. We had to wear earmuffs just so we can protect ourselves from the screaming. Trust me it hurts my ears even with the earmuffs on. Herbology is about the plants that we take care for and what types their is and how we plants and put them in a certain type of soil. With the mandrakes which is what those screaming plants are called if you pull them up by their roots they will start to scream.

Next they went to my class which is a potions class. This is where I teach them how to make potions. They get their potions book and I tell them to turn to page 394 and they learn how to make a good luck potion. It will give them luck for a couple of hours no matter what they do. I remember Harry getting this potion and he pretended to give it to his friend Ron which is now his brother-in-law and Ron thought Harry put liquid luck in his drink which in reality he didn't. Ron did good on his Quidditch team and the Gryffindor house won the Quidditch game. Speaking of them I have Harry's kids Albus and James Potter for this class. I also have Ron and Hermione's kids in there and they are really good kids. They have a girl and she looks exactly like Hermione with Ron's hair. Her hair is long but it's red, and all the Weasley's have red hair.
