Cuphead stood there frozen, along with his cat, staring at the boy on the bed in fear. Unsure of what to do, he decided to try and communicate with it. "H-..Hello?..." Cuphead waited for a response.

Nothing.

Not a peep. Not a twitch of a muscle. Nothing. Cuphead decided to try the door again. As he reached for the doorknob, the lights flickered, only once. Then stopped. Cuphead raised an eyebrow at how weird that was. He turned to the old hospital bed to see if anything changed about the boy.

The boy was now standing next to the bed, facing Cuphead.

Cuphead's eyes widened in fear and panic. He grabbed the doorknob and turned it, hoping to for it to be unlocked...but no luck. Cuphead was now stuck in this old haunted abandoned hospital, in one of its rooms, with the spirit who haunted it.

Cuphead decided to try something. He turned his back to the boy, just for a second. The lights flickered again and he snapped back around. The boy had gotten closer to him. About in the middle from where the bed was and where Cuphead was. Cuphead felt like he had a grasp on this spirits game. The simple green light red light idea. He could do that...or so he thought.

The horrible stench of rotten flesh and blood grew, causing Cuphead to gag once or twice. And the appearance of the boy didn't help either. With all the blood and open wounds on the boy, turned Cuphead's stomach. Cuphead plugged his nose once again, only breathing through his mouth now.

Cuphead walked over, not taking his eyes off the boy, and grabbed the file he had picked up earlier. Jackpot grabbed the one of the pictures from it with his mouth. Cuphead threw the file to the side and took the picture from Jackpot. All while making sure the boy didn't leave his sight. He held up the picture. Comparing the boy and the picture. It was the picture of Mikey, before he had gotten his injury. The one without all the blood and cracks on him. Cuphead didn't want that one. Jackpot had gotten the wrong one. Cuphead would have to get the file again. But he didn't know where it landed after he threw it. Cuphead began to feel around for it in the direction he threw it, without letting his eyes leave the boy. He couldn't find it. Jackpot was also to nervous to take his eyes of the boy who stood in front of them. Cuphead took a deep breath and took his chances. He quickly turned his head to see where the file was, it was thankfully right within his reach he grabbed it and immediately turned around. But as he was turning around the lights flickered again.

The boy was gone.

Cuphead cursed under his breath not only in frustration but of fear. He could feel Jackpot trembling on his shoulder. Cuphead looked around frantically for any signs of where the boy could have gone. He noticed a trail of blood droplets along the floor. It started where the boy was, the midway mark between Cuphead and bed. And the trail seemed to make a line from there, to behind Cuphead. Cuphead noticed the trail continued behind him. He wanted to turn around but fear and panic was taking over. He took a couple deep breaths. And turned his head.

There the boy stood, right behind him, a hole in the bandages covering his eyes, revealing a rather realistic eye for the toon world, along with rows and rows of sharp bloody teeth.

Cuphead screamed like he never had before. And before Cuphead could do anything else, the boy pounce on him.

And within seconds

everything went black...
