The moonlight beams dance and glide along the windows and surely to the floor.
I push forward, allowing the cold midnight winds right through the door.
With trembling hands, footsteps echo through the corridor.
The bitter cold chills me to my very core.
Black swirls 'round and 'round in my mind; drowning in these thoughts make thee temporarily blind.
The wind blows against the walls of the fortress—-memories and visions linger in my mind of the corpses.
Charles; beautiful and delicate like a flower—-but now the name upon my tongue just feels sour.
Charles; kind hearted and loving to each and every soul; such a shame you'll never grow old.
Charles; you were my amour, my love, my life—-but now you're pushed away, right to the afterlife.
For the afterlife is a place I cannot go—-a place I can't follow; thoughts of these dark realizations have thus left me hollow.
The beast I am has condemned me to hellfire—-to say otherwise would make me a liar.
My dead, sunken in eyes cast glances across the floor—-now I take time to remember the days of yore.
Each moment I remember oh so lovingly—-but grief continues to hit me suddenly.
For the first time since my original damnation, I feel sorrowful for the devastation.
Of what I've caused, and what I've done—-nothing is worse than destroying that precious sun.
Losing and ruining the star in my life that burnt so bright… Oh Charles… what I wouldn't give for just one more night—-one more night by the fire-side, embers burning and flames leaping high—-laughing and conversing all through the night, not once ending in a fight.
Charles; you were my soul, all that held me down in the world—-now amongst these bitter winds, all I see is the savage underworld.
All I see is hell and pain for what I couldn't stop; for now my world moves slower than foxtrot.
Charles; the bite seared in too deep; the infection too fast—-the blood ever flowed from that deathly gash.
I do not know why my brother decided to place a bite upon you—-all I know is it assured your sudden doom.
I took you in my arms, Charles—-I took you far away; but all I felt like I did to you is just betray.
The black birds of death swooped nearby as I hummed you a final lullaby.
We agreed our love was never to be permanent—-alas I knew you'd meet your demise long before mine; though it still hurt gravely as I carried you o'er grim hills, as you lay cold in my arms.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; I don't know why.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; each thought brings a tear to my eye.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; it's no one's fault but mine.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; oh, how I wish I could just turn back time.
I left my heart in Raven Woods after a poor attempt to preserve it—-I left my heart in Raven Woods after, despite my attempts, it still got bit.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; not a single drop of vermilion liquid coursed through his veins.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; out, out did the blood drain.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; buried six feet down into a cold, somber grave.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; instantly hit with sorrow in several waves.
I left my heart in Raven Woods; alone and away from life.
For the mortal's life is too short and too filled with omission!; All life leaves behind is its scarred victims.
The moonlight outside will forever serve to me as a reminder; of the damn tragedy of those who tried to hold on tighter.
Wrapped in a spider's web—-trapped in hell, time and time again; doomed to die from the start, shall soon no longer have a beating heart!
So, goodbye, my heart!
Goodbye to my soul!--forever shall I remain cold.
Forever shall I stay blood-thirsty—-forever shall I have no mercy.
Centuries along may the darkness place judgment upon my dead damned soul—-my redemption marked annul.
So, fly high, my heart!
With gentle wings of midnight, fly far away—-fly away to a better morrow where it's always day.
Fly far from your grave in Raven Woods; the birds of death at your side, guiding the way—-from there, you'll never fall astray.
Fly my heart!; Fly with glory!
Because unlike you my exquisite heart, I will never be free.
