At the age of 7 she was given away to her aunt who lived in Oceania. At this point Angelee Winston was faced with mis treatment and abuse to that of a lower class maid. Her aunt locked her the opportunity of a good education since she missed every Thursday and Friday of school. Her aunt instead gave her the responsibility of doing chores all day long. Angellee had to tend to her aunts every will.
Angellee was a very inquisitive girl, every night before her aunt sent her children to bed they would have to tell and explain what they learn at school to their mother so Angellee wiuld stay by the door and listen so she'd know what she missed at school.
