Stella's POV

I just finished my training session for the night cause I need to stay in shape, i really enjoy late night practices with no distractions because it helps keep my head clear and focus on my playing.

I'm packing my bag up until I get a phone call from a number I don't recognize and the location of the call is for Utah, USA but anyways I answer the call
"Hello" I say
"Hello, is this Stella Lockhart?" The man says on the other end of the call

"Yes, this is her"
"Well that's great, Stella this is Joey Planks varsity coach of the U18 girls soccer for Utah Nationals"

"Oh wow omg" I say happily

"I'm calling to hopefully set up a meeting with you and your parents to discuss your soccer future hoping it can be with us" he says

"Uhm yes that would be great, I mean I'm not home currently to talk with my parents but I'll be glad to setup something"

"Okay perfect, I'll text you from this number with details of information about this opportunity for you"
"Thank you so much sir"

"thanks for your time I'll let you go and talk to you and your family soon"

"Yeah okay, talk soon sir"
"Bye"
"Bye" I say hanging up and scream in excitement
I'm full of emotions right now but I gather my things jump into my car and drive home thinking of me in a Utah Nationals jersey, I snap out of the dream when I pull up to my house.

I shower and eat dinner at about 9pm waiting for my parents to get home from work, and when they get home about 30 minutes later I jump up excited and start talking too fast about what happened after training today.

"Mom and dad you will not believe this, he called, they want me playing for them"

"Woah slow down sweetie, who and playing for who?" My mom asks
"Yeah who's he?" My dad says

"Joey Planks the coach of Utah Nationals soccer team they want me to play for them"

"That's what he said" my dad asks
"Well not exactly but he said that he wants to set up a meeting with you guys and myself to discuss my soccer future hoping it will be with them in Utah"

"Wow that's great" my mom says smiling hugging me
"Now that's my girl" my dad says joining the hug

...

A Few days later we got the meeting setup he came to Colorado where we had the meeting at my house. I hear a knock at the front door my family is here with me as I open the door and greet the him.

"Hello sir, welcome glad to have you here"
"Hello Stella, I'm glad to be here"

"Come in" I say as he walks past me through the door and I close it

"Thanks" he says

"Hello,I'm Joey Planks coach of Utah u18 Nationals soccer team"

"Hello, I'm Stella's mom Mary Lockhart"
"Hey, I'm Stella's father Rick Lockhart"
He shakes both of my parents hands then mine.
...

"Your daughter is going places with her talent I would love to have that on my team this year, she has great stats, I've seen highlights from live games and I'm hoping to get to know her as a person too"

"Thank you, we know she's always had talent since she was a kid and started playing" my mom says

"Yeah she's so talented, that's my girl" my dad says

"My team of girls is full of talent and amazing personalities who have been working together to build this team and I know that we have to offer Stella this opportunity"

"We understand Stella is on board with playing and all but what about academics?"

"Yes so we can take her on scholarship as she would attend Crestwood high school for grade 11 and 12"
"Okay that sounds good"
"Okay perfect"

An hour later

"Thanks for everything coach, see you in a few months at the contract signing"
Coach leaves as I jump in excitement with my parents and we figure everything out for the move to Utah for my soccer career!!! And it still feels weird saying that.

Four Months Later:

Getting recruited to play soccer for one of the top 10 teams in the State is every teens dream, and I've earned being chosen to play for the Utah nationals (masscot the eagles), so I basically transfer schools for grade 11 and 12 so I'll be able to keep up with academics (on scholarship) then play soccer for a high ranking team. The contract signing was good there was lot of people there with Cameras and everything as this was the headline of news "Stella Lockhart becomes a top prospect player joining the Utah u 18 Nationals soccer team" was what ended up in the news.

My mother got a nursing job in Utah, my dad's business is pretty huge so it can be done from anywhere cause he's the boss. We've just driven past the "Welcome to Utah" sign, as I am thinking It's good to have a fresh start than time later Dad pulled up to the house It was super Beautiful, bigger then my last one even, got my own room, the kitchen is huge, there's multiple bathrooms, and a nice deck with a pool in the backyard.

We moved some of our stuff that wasnt already shipped here then drove around the city, ate dinner, now I'm just showering and getting ready for bed.

"Night mom, dad"
"Night"
"Night"
I walked up stairs and got on my inflatable mattress (just until my bed gets shipped) it's comfortable so I'll be fine. But As I'm starting at this new school tomorrow, I'm pretty nervous but confident, considering I'm gonna be able to play soccer as I'm on scholarship so my grades need to be high and my performance needs to be perfect on the field.

The First Day:

Getting out of bed is the hardest thing in the morning, especially if starting at a new school.

It's pretty quiet this morning since my parents left early this morning.
It's about 6:25am I'm eating my breakfast as im scrolling through my phone as I read messages from my old friends. When I finished my breakfast I packed my school bag but also my soccer bag because I plan on going to the field after school it's about 7:10am so I put my shoes on then grab my car keys, and The drive was good it's about 7:45 am so 30min drive from my house as I pull in and park I'm pretty nervous about this first day of school now.
As I walk up to the main entrance, I make my way to the office to get our class schedules.
"Hello, I'm Stella Lockhart, grade 11"
The desk lady gives us me my class schedule then proceeds to say "next" to the another student.

I look at mine
Period 1- English
Period 2- Math
Lunch
Period 3- gym
Period 4- Spanish

"Shit, I got math right in the morning that's just great"  I muttered to myself as I looked down and started making my way to my class following this map I got
....
The day went by fast, classes were easy considering it's just the first day but there was the usual ice breakers plus a few people said hi to me which was nice and now I'm making my way to my car to drive for food before I head to the soccer fields.

It's about 4:10 And I stop at in-N-out for a burger and fries, then to a gas station for a Gatorade for training. I didn't bother sitting in at the food place so I'll eat when I get to the fields. The drive is pretty with the sun starting to go down even though it's about 4:30pm but hopefully it will be a good late practice with no distractions.

I stretch, do a warm up lap around the track then proceed to work on cardio then work on shooting and lastly footwork. Which I would take as my best aspect in my playing form or style, I would also mixed the footwork with my shooting so  shot until I have it down with no mistakes cause when it comes to game time there's no room for mistakes.
