It's 8:02 am and I walk into the hell household aka high school. I hate walking into this annoying place. Thank God I only have one more year in here. I blast my music out of my headphones and keep walking through the hallway. I see my friend down the hall and I run to her while screaming her name.
"Amanda!"
"Brooklyn! Hey!" Amanda said with a big smile. Amanda is always pretty chill. When you think of an ideal teenage girl you think of her. Which is weird because I'm kind of the opposite. I'm more of a "Tomboy" and a "Girly girl" combined. While she is more on the girly side, but trust me she can beat the living shit out of you if you try to mess with her. Amanda had brown straight hair that had a blonde ombré. She wouldn't wear a lot of make-up. Most days she would wear mascara, but if she wasn't lazy she would do a winged eyeliner. She's my best friend. The only good close friend I had, that I could trust.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing much, I'm about to go to homeroom."
"Wait, we have homeroom today? What the hell!"
"Yeah haha. By the way I heard there was a new cute guy in your homeroom!" Amanda said with a smirk on her face.
"I told you. I don't really want to be in a relationship because it's too much drama."
"Oh c'mon Brooklyn! Live your life, don't be boring."
"Yeah yeah whatever. I'll see you later. Bye"
"Bye!" Amanda said waving. I put my headphones back into my ears and I walk up the stairs to my locker. People say "hey" in the hallways I say "hey" back. It's casual. I do have friends you know. A lot actually. I just have few that I can really trust. So I keep walking in the hollow halls of high school and I think about seeing people make out in the hallway...it's just straight up gross. Like "excuse me, but I'm trying not to throw up today and I can't really do that when you're standing right in front of me with your tongue down someone's throat. So please excuse me I need to go to class. Thank you." Seriously I don't need to be bothered with that in the beginning of the day. After making a short but long walk to my locker. I put in all the stuff I don't need and I take out the stuff that I do need. I unplug my headphones and I put my phone in my jean pocket. I walk into the classroom and I greet my friend Bianca.
"Hey! Bianca." I said with a smile on my face.
"Hey! Have you seen the new guy?" She said.
"Um no. Can you tell me why we have homeroom today?"
"Freshmen are taking a field test. So everyone else has to stay in their homerooms for two hours." Bianca said rolling her eyes.
"You gotta love school right?" I said with a sarcastic look on my face. I look around the room trying to find this 'new guy'. I see a group of girls surrounding someone in the back. Already girls trying to get a hold of him. Poor kid...Not really. I tried to see what he looks like and once I got a glance at his face, I could see why girls crowded.
"He's cute, right?" Bianca asked me.
"He's alright." I said. The thing is, he was much better than an 'alright'. He was probably like 5'8 and a half. He had black hair that was in a quiff style. His eyes were dark brown and he had a nice smile. He was wearing a navy blue baseball tee with khaki pants. Also he had some converse on. He didn't look bad at all. I wonder what's his name? "Bianca. Do you know mystery boy's name?"
"It's Jacob. He came from California." Hmm Jacob, not too shabby of a name. Why would he come to New York from Cali? Why would he come to this shit hole school? Why was his hair in a quiff style? All of the questions that were going trough my head.
"Why would he come to Jefferson High School? This school sucks."
"Yeah. I know. Oh shit." Bianca said with a weird look on her face.
"What?"
"He's coming over here." I realized that she wasn't bullshitting. How did he get away from all those girls? Brooklyn stop thinking about this. He looked really good. I noticed that he had little note papers in his hand. He put them in his pocket. I laughed a little bit because I knew there were girls phone numbers. Wow.
"Hi. My name is Jacob. I'm new here." He said with a half smile.
"Hey. My name is Bianca and this is Brooklyn."
"Hi. Where did you come from and why Jefferson?" I asked him.
"I came from Southern California. I really wanted to move to upstate New York so. And I like your shoes. " I noticed that we had the same shoes
on. He came from Southern California so I get it now."Oh cool and thanks. May I?" I say pointing at his schedule that he had in his hand.
"Sure." I looked at his schedule and I realize we have five classes together, besides lunch. Great. I think to myself.
"We have most of the same classes together, so I'll show you around." I said with a smile on my face.
"Cool. Thanks."

Jacob and I talked for a while. Just to past time. Oh and by the way I found out his last name is Lane. I've learned that he plays soccer and sings a bit. Which is weird because I dance to past my time. Also I sing here and there. Turns out that he likes sort of the same music I like. Which was like a combination of alternative and pop rock. Nice. We basically knew all the basics about each other. He was very easy to communicate with. Which was cool. I think today is going to be a good day.
