Chapter 12 final battle, final part redemption and sacrifice

Back at tails workshop

"OK guys, it looks like we have no other choice, but to destroy not only unicorn, but Arce as well" " are you sure tails?" "Yes I am sure Amy, we don't have any other choice" " but there has to be another Way" " I wish it was that simple knuckles, but we have to destroy him. There is no other" " no there is a way" Everyone looked at sonic, who stood quiet when they got there. " what do you mean sonic?" " what I mean tails is that we remind him that he is not a slave to unicorn, but he has free will" " Are you sure sonic? I mean it is risky, you know" " I know, but we have to try right" as soon as sonic said that the news report stated that Eggman and Megatron were defeated, and there is a giant metal planet in front of Mobius. "Oh no, it looks like unicorn is here" "I guess we should not only destroy unicorn but also save Eggman Megatron and Arce" " I guess so is everyone ready?" " yeah we are" said everyone and left the workshop.

In the city

"What should we do Megatron" " we keep on fighting until they come up with a plan" Megatron said, breathing heavily. " Oh, don't worry we have a plan" " it looks like you are back to your smirky self hedgehog" " yeah, same with you egghead" " so what is the plan?" " the plan is we need to find unicorn's weakness" " the only weakness I can think of is his spark" " and that is in his chest, right" " correct but the only problem is finding his spark when he is in his planet form." " don't worry we will find it." " no sonic. We need everyone to distract Arce while Eggman and Megatron look for unicorns spark chamber" " OK tails" " all right everyone knows the plan let's do this". Sonic tails and knuckles went first to confront Arce. " OK guys are you ready?" " yeah" tails, and knuckles said in unison. Arce then charges at sonic until he said. " Hey buddy I know you're in there don't you remember the race we had weeks ago" then
Arce fell on his knees and screaming in pain. He then saw images of him, sonic and speed racing around town. " it's working all right knuckles your up" " got it" " don't you remember that we were guarding the master emerald?" Arce was in much more pain than the last. He then show images of him, knuckles and bronze, guarding a giant gem. " OK tails it's your turn" " OK" " don't you remember that you help me created the insignia maker" Arce was streaming, even louder because of the pain. He then saw images of him tails and Cannon helping them with the invention. He then got up to try to charge at them but Amy and Hammer got in the way and hit him and send him flying backwards. " don't you remember the Time you me and Hammer were spending time at the park" his head was getting in more pain by the second. Then he remembered that he spent time with Amy and hammer at the park. He got up with one of his hands holding his head glaring at everyone rouge shadow, and Omega then sad at the same time. " don't you remember that you trained with us" he then saw images of him, shadow, swift blade, rouge, boot Omega and tech. He then started to remember everything else from the primes and his sister and friends all of it at the same time. " big bro can you promise me that whatever happens that you will be OK" " hey man, don't forget that every time when we are done training, you do not owe me old me a drink, but you also owe me a rematch" " he would never stop so promise me that you will find a way to stop him" " you are not a tool of destruction, but you are special because you have free will of your own and no one will ever take that away from you my son" when he remembered everything his pain has stopped. Sonic then started approaching to Arce when sonic said. " Hey buddy are you OK?" Arce then raise up his head and said. " yeah, did anyone have the number of that car?" Arce said jokingly. Then sonic started to laugh and everyone else. " OK OK enough with the jokes, but seriously are you OK?" Sonic asked Arce with concern. "Yeah I'm OK for now" " OK then do you think you can help us deal with unicorn?" " I don't know because I have the sickest feeling that if I get near unicorn then he will know that I am not under his control" " yeah you got a point there so that means we have to rely on eggman and Megatron".

Meanwhile, inside of unicorn

Wow, this unicorn is big I mean very big. He is even bigger than my death egg" " you're what?" "death egg my space ship" " your spaceship what happened to it?" " it was destroyed by sonic how else?" " oh, OK that makes sense" " anyways Megatron's how much farther are we at his core" " well I would say we are almost there" " how do you know?" " because I could see it right in front of us about 10 more feet away" Eggman then turned around and looked at the direction Megatron is staring at. " oh I see it my bad" " right looks like we need destroyers help on this one" " right destroyer" " yes, lord" "transform and help Megatron destroy that core" " understood eggman" destroyer, then transformed into a maze. " all right I hope sonic and his friends were able to deal with Arce by now" " if I know sonic and his friends, which I do they would try to get him back to his senses" " but there's a problem with that" " and that is" " even though they are able to bring them back unicorn would just try to control him again" " what are you saying?"

Back at the city

" I just hope that Eggman and Megatron would hurry up and destroy that core" " I understand what you're saying sonic but they have to figure out where it is first" " guys" " well if I would've gone there, I would've just punched it already into pieces" " knuckles it isn't that easy to destroy a giant core" "guys" " maybe we can probably Chaos control there?" rouge it isn't easy. I could only chaos control to places. I already been to" " guys" " well at least I try to come up with a plan" " what kind of plan is that ?that could've gotten us hurt or something" " guys" everyone turned around to Arce and said at the same time. " what" " you do realize that, even though unicorn might get destroy, what's to say he can get into my body and control me again but this time permanently" everyone was in shock by what he says. " so you're saying even though we destroy him he can just come back but it's your body?" " yes because even though his physical form will be destroyed but his spirit will not" " then how do we make sure he stays down then?" sonic then question Arce with almost a panic. " well, there is one way" " which is what?" Arce then lowered his head and said. "You would half to destroy my spark" " what no way we just got you back to yourself" " I know, but he will come back, but this time using my body to hurt people that I care about the most" sonic then walked backwards, in shock, saying. " no we will find out a way to stop him. We will we just have to" sonic was about to finish his sentence when Arce punched sonic in the stomach so hard that he knocked him out and caught him on his left shoulder. " I'm sorry Santa, but it's the only way to save Mobius" Arce then turned around to look at tails and said." Tails when he wakes up tell him that I'm sorry and thank you for all the good Times I had with him" " I understand" tails said while crying. Arce then turn his head around to look at shadow and ask him. " master shadow I want you to deliver the strike to my spark"shadow then crunches his fist and said. " blade transform" " but Master shadow" " I said transform" blade flinched in fear and transformed as commanded. Arce then walked up to shadow, and opened up his spark chamber. " are you sure you want me to do this?" Asked shadow. Arce shake head up and down in response. Shadow then raise up Blade and impaled Arce's spark. " thank you Master and thank you all for being in my life and I love you all" Arce then shed a tear and closed his eyes happily. When shadow pulled out blade out of Arce's spark, his body fell down. Everyone started to cry then sonic woke up and saw everyone crying. " hey, why are you all" sonic stopped his sentence when he saw Arce's body on the floor right in front of shadow. " no what happened tell me tell me what happened?" everyone stayed quiet then sonic looked a shadow with anger. " why shadow why did you?" " he told me to do it, faker" sonic, got even matter and charged up to shadow's, and pulled him against a brick wall, and shadow accidentally dropped blade on the ground. " you should've said now why did you say no?" " do you think I have a choice? Did you really think that I could've said no I can't because if I did, then he could've asked anyone else to do it" sonic them let go of shadow and want to Arce's body and said. " we could've found away to make sure that you stayed you, so why didn't you let us" sonic fell on his knees and started crying.

Back inside unicorn

Megatron then notice a change of atmosphere. " what's wrong Megatron?" " day destroyed him No one of them destroyed him" " who" " I believe it is the black and red hedgehog" "are you talking about shadow?" " yes and now we can destroy unicorn" as Megatron said that he raised up destroyer in his hands, and destroyed unicorn's spark completely. " no what have you done?" " we have destroyed you chaos bringer" " Megatron we have to get out of here before we are all crush" " right let's go". Eggman and Megatron were able to escape from inside of unicorn.

Back at the city

When Eggman and Megatron return what they saw was heartbreak. " you should bury him" everyone stop crying and look at Megatron in surprise. " Megatron?" " in Cybertron we bury the bravest warriors in order to honor their memories" " I see" Megatron and eggman turned around and started to walk away when they heard Sonic said. " thank you Megatron we will" Megatron turned half of his face, and looked at sonic with a smirk, and walked away without saying anything.
