Zee NuNew One-shot

the day after-4

NuNew woke up first in the morning and looked around to realize Zee was still asleep.

He tried moving to get out the bed but Zee's hands around his waist were too tight.

"Hia" he nudged Zee to wake up and with a groan, Zee opened his eyes, hugging NuNew into his chest now.

"We should get up" NuNew tried to reason realizing it was Sunday and they were free the whole day today.

"Five more minutes?" Zee asked, pulling NuNew closer as he kissed the crown of his head.

"Hmm" NuNew snuggled more into him and his arms around Zee's torso.

While NuNew appeared to be calm, Zee's mind was busy running a mile a second.

The unsettling events of prior night did not allow his mind to rest.

Like every other morning after their sessions, his Nu wasn't rubbing his face on his chest or hugging his neck like he always did.

After bathing themselves last night, Nu didn't even speak a word to him until this morning.

"You know I didn't mean to hurt you last night, right?" Zee asked, afraid his lover might actually leave him this time.

"Hmm" Nu still didn't speak.

"Are you still angry at me?" Zee tried again.

No answer.

Zee sighed. Of course his Nu would be angry at him, rightfully so.

He hugged NuNew more. "Hia knows it's his fault." He accepted.

"I did blush yesterday before P'Max" NuNew spoke, making Zee hug him more tight.

"It's okay." Zee tried not to question him. "You are young" he tried to reason with himself actually.

"P'Max had seen the marks on my neck in middle of the program" NuNew again spoke "he was teasing me about us."

Zee sighed in relief

"And when the costume was removed," nu added "P'Max put his hand on my neck to hide the marks"

Zee was at loss of words. His best friend was trying to hide the marks created by him on NuNew the prior night.

Max was trying to keep his Nu safe from all the prying eyes yesterday. But he got it wrong.

........

"Nu" Zee approached the boy busy on his phone whole afternoon but Nu startled at the unexpected approach almost dropped off his phone.

Zee's heart dropped at NuNew's reaction. Had he hurt his lover to the point that his very voice terrified him now?

No, everything's fine. Last night was just a.. off night.

Zee tried to reason with himself but NuNew's actions proved him otherwise.

"Yes?" NuNew asked, putting away his phone on the kitchen counter as he had been there for almost an hour now, unsure of how to be with Zee after last night's encounter.

"Who were you talking to?" Zee asked, trying to start a conversation.

"P'Type." NuNew answered. "Did you want something?" He asked seeing Zee didn't look his usual self at home.

"Yeah" Zee replied as he stepped towards NuNew and put his both hands on the counter, trapping NuNew with him.

"Hia?" NuNew panicked inside worrying if Hia again wanted to do it.

With a slight push on NuNew's hips, Zee got him seated on the counter as he stood between NuNew's legs.

"You are too beautiful, Nu" Zee stated. It was no lie NuNew's visuals were to die for. From his striking brown eyes to his cute face to his angelic smile to his gorgeous black hair to his soft and fair skin, everything screamed perfection.

Men or women, anyone would fall for him. And by the grace of the heavens, this beautiful man belonged to Zee.

While Zee was busy basking in the beauty of his lover, NuNew had started to panic thinking something else.

"Are-are you angry, hia?" NuNew asked, hoping for the older to not be angry with him for hiding himself here in the kitchen.

Zee on the other hand, out of his trance was surprised and asked "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?"

NuNew tilted his head in confusion. Angry and him? That to at hia Zee? He had no reason to be angry at Zee. Yes, he was hurt and upset with the events of last night and perhaps, a tad bit afraid of his hia now, but never angry.

"It's fine, I guess?" NuNew sounded unsure himself.

"God damnit, Nu. Just say it that you don't want me anymore" Zee raised his voice.

NuNew flinched but didn't dare utter a word. Why would he not want hia Zee? He loved him.

"You are afraid of me, aren't you?" Zee asked, his voice way soft upon seeing NuNew's reaction to his raised voice.

"I-i..." NuNew didn't want to accept it, but it was the truth. After last night, he indeed was afraid of Hia Zee.

Zee without a word pulled NuNew's hair and kissed him hard. Not hard enough to hurt him but hard enough to claim NuNew his.

"Hia, stop.." NuNew pushed on his shoulders and pulled back, water ready to leave his eyes anytime now.

Zee only stared at him and pecked his whole face, his eyes, nose, cheeks, forehead and of course, his favourite, those soft pink lips.

"Hia, not now" NuNew pushed more on his shoulder but Zee didn't move an inch.

Was his Hia always this strong?

"Hia, I don't want to do it today. Please" NuNew pleaded.

Though Zee had zero intentions of doing it today and the next few days, NuNew certainly had taken it the wrong way.

"Then we won't" Zee assured his terrified lover.

"Now" his face stoic "are you afraid of me?" Zee asked the previous question again.

NuNew's water glazed eyes stared into him as he slowly but surely nodded and whispered in an extremely low voice "𝑦𝑒𝑠"

It was so low, one would miss it easily but not Zee.

If he had thought his heart had shattered into pieces from NuNew's cries of pain last night, then it had been shattered into ashes now.

Deep down, he knew he had scarred his Nu last night and NuNew perhaps would be afraid of him today.

But hearing it from his own mouth hurt worse a sword stabbing his heart.

"Nu" Zee put his forehead against NuNew and his hands lightly cupped his face "I am sorry, Nu." He apologized again.

No response..

"I was at wrong last night. Please.." Zee pleaded "please, forgive me. You don't have to even forgive me, just don't be afraid of me"

"Hia?" NuNew asked ,"Do you still love me?"

"Of course I do, Nu." Zee answered, backing his head away

" I love your beautiful smile, your striking eyes, your hair, the redness on your cheeks when you blush. Scratch that, I love everything about you, Nu. I love You"

Nunew wrapped his hands around Zee's neck and placed a soft kiss on his cheek like he always did "I forgive you, Hia" he spoke "Don't do it again"

"I won't" Zee hugged him tight, crying in the happiness and relief of being forgiven.

The two lovers hugged themselves to their bliss, both realizing once again they had a long way to go. But as long as they had each other, they could overcome the strongest of forces out there in the universe.

After all, no matter what happens, they belonged to each other
