Hey everyone. I know it may seem like I'm writing again but I simply wanted to repost some of my work from A03 to here for my Star Wars fans. I am trying to find the motivation to write again.

Blaster fire echoed all around the area as several angry Rodians chased you and the Batch through the centre of town. Once again Cid had sent you to retrieve some apparently valuable items from a client who owed her credits. Leaving out the details about how the clients place was heavily guarded with limited access into the area. She had a way of leaving out key details. You always complained to Hunter how it was going to get someone killed one day but it never seemed to sink in.

Thanks to Tech's skills you had been able to access the house without begin detected, sneaking in through the guards to obtain the object that was secured in a vault. All relatively easy and normal things that you used to do during the war. That was until an alarm was triggered and all hell broke loose. So now here you were trying to make it back to the Marauder without getting shot.

“TECH, tell me that the ships nearby” Hunter called from beside you. Turning back quickly to fire his blaster back at the approaching enemy.

“The Marauder is right around the corner. Be prepared for a shaky take off” Tech calls from the front. Ready to race to the cockpit and get the group the Kriff out of here. A shot whizzed right past your head, barely missing skin. Whipping your head back to return a few shots back.

“I told you we need to stop doing jobs like this for Cid unless we get proper details. Look at the mess we’ve gotten into” you shout to your partner as your foot hits uneven ground, causing you to stumble and wince as pain shoots up it. Hunters hand grabs your arm to stop you from falling as he replies to your comment.

“This isn’t the time for this conversation Yn” his voice comes out a little harsh as he shoots backwards again. You know it’s from the tense situation but can’t help but feel annoyed at the blatant dismissal. Rounding the corner to see the ship in reach you willed your body to go faster. Watching as the rest of the team board the ship.

“Crosshair, give us cover” Hunter shouts to his brother while your still running to the Marauder. Crosshair crouches by the hanger door and begins picking off the Rodians who were still giving chase. Hitting at least 4 before you and Hunter ploughed your way into the ship.  Tech immediately shuts the doors and takes off as you stumble to a chair next to Omega and Wrecker. A silent sigh of relief was let out across the ship as you jumped into Hyperspace and away from any immediate danger.

“I am really beginning to not like that women” Crosshair sneers from his chair next to the Navi Computer.

“Cid leaving out key details of the missions she gives out is becoming rather regular” Tech adds as he once again buries his face in his datapad.

“We got to blow some stuff up and we got the items. I say thats a win” Wreckers voice booms from his seat.

“Yeah. We got Cids things and everyone’s got of there ok, isn’t that ok” Omega chimes up. You twirl your ankle at her words. The appendage very sore after twisting it while escaping.

“Not really ‘Megs” you say looking at the girl before you stand up and turn to face Hunter. “Hunter you really need to set some boundaries with Cid. It’s not safe that she keeps leaving out details during missions. Not only that but the missions have been back to back. We’re all exhausted” you expressed to your partner. Hiding the wince of pain your ankle sent as you stepped closer to him

“For the moment Cid is our main source of money. Without her we won’t have enough credits for fuel or food” Hunter replies.

“That doesn’t justify what’s she doing Hunter. She’s working us to the bone right now and putting our lives in danger by not debriefing us properly. It’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt” you talk back. Voice raising slightly.

“You think I don’t know that, if there were other options I’d gladly take them. However we don’t have that luxury so this is what we’re getting until then” Hunter practically yelled back.

“Alright you two. Cool it. The last thing we need is a massive argument. Walk away and cool your heads and we can talk about this later” Echo’s figure stepped between the two of you. Hunter steps back and walks over to the co-pilot seat and sits down. Not once turning back to face you.

“Fine. But this conversation isn’t over” you huff in anger as you walk to yours and Hunter shared bunk to lay down. Eventually sleep tugged at your body as exhaustion finally took over.
