Rosie looked at Jennie standing, looking over the hotel window half-dressed and she's sitting in front of her a few feet away at the single chair in the corner of the room
'What happened last night?'
They've been married for 7 years but not once this has happened between the two of them after their parents forced them to get married for business purposes
"Jennie-" she tried to speak but Jennie looked at her and shook her head signalling her to stop
Park is wearing the hotel's blanket barely covering her body, her mind is at peace, she doesn't want to hear anything from Rosie, afraid that the other might say the wrong word that would ruin this inner peace she just found out this morning
Rosie didn't know that Jennie's warmth is all she needed to end the endless battle she had within herself. Waking up, Jennie on top of her naked, sleeping soundly and breathing evenly, stopped the voices inside her head. All she needed to focus at is the breath that was coming out of her wife toward her chest.
How did they end up there?
Jennie, a little tipsy last night after celebrating the merger of their hotel and casino in Monaco that their grandparents and parents wanted to close a deal from the beginning but failed, and Jennie and Rosie's partnership is the only ace to make it work by joining the heir's powerful assets and long-lasting relationship. The happiness that surrounded Kim can't be matched and the sole reason for this achievement is right in front of her
They've been the best partners in business but never in their personal lives
"I hate you, Jennie Kim, you are the reason why I will never be happy! You stole my independence and my chance to just live!" those are the words that Rosie told Jennie in their honeymoon suite after their wedding, that night Regina cried nonstop on the bed while Jennie pretends to sleep on the room's couch
Every day they go to work, eat lunch, go to meetings, keep up with the press, do interviews, meet investors, have dinner, then go back to the house and sleep in separate rooms. If parents are visiting, they have to sleep in the same room but Jennie still sleeps on the couch. She still catches Rosie crying like her world ended the day they got married
She doesn't hate Rosie unlike the latter, Jennie focused on building their family's company, and she strived to work hard and be the Kim her family wanted to be. She expanded their reach internationally but the family don't think it was enough, so they planned to partner with their biggest rival, the Kim
"No! I don't want to get married because of your stupid partnership!" Rosie shouted angrily at the meeting where the whole Park and Kim clan gathered to celebrate their engagement
Jennie didn't talk the whole time, very different from being the CEO that she is, where her opinion mattered more but here in this family gathering the only voice that doesn't matter is hers. She sighed the whole time, Rosie shouted and got angry the whole time, sometimes she just laughs internally because she and Rosie are the total opposite.
"You! How dumb can you get!" now the shouting is towards her, Rosie looks at her with hatred that she can't describe, she tried to open her mouth to answer but no words came out of it, Rosie looks at her disappointed
"I knew it! You're also a puppet!" she said or shouted either way Jennie doesn't even know the difference
"Don't even make me walk the aisle or I swear you won't like what I'll do!" Rosie stood up and left, everyone's eyes went to Jennie
"If you want to achieve what you want Jennie, get Rosie to walk that aisle," Mason Park said, making her stand up and follow the girl outside
"Rosie!" Jennie shouted for the first time since that meeting, Rosie stopped and turn around with so much hatred that made Jennie flinch, but she gathered herself and walk toward Rosie
