It was raining in Gotham. Though for teenagers are suppose to be ecstatic cause school was out due to the heavy rains. But none of the teenage heroes within the Team was ever happy... It was sad. Everyone was there. The original team that formed Young Justice. The new members.

Wally was in his Kid Flash costume crying into his arm while his girlfriend/fianceé was beside her rubbing his back also crying. Everyone there was in their hero costume in front a grave...

Everyone was crying. League. Even Flash. Barry Allen. But all of the Young Justice team stared at their blue armoured hero. Jaime Reyes or known as Blue Beetle.

Jaime had his head lowered gripping tightly on Bart's goggles as Impulse. His best friend Tye put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"I broke that promise, ese. I cant believe he'd do something-" Jaine breathed as tears streamed down his face. Tye sighed too upset to his friend like this. He knew the feelings he's acquired towards the future speedster while going against Reach. Everyone remembered what happened especially Wally. Jaime was there. As Blue Beetle he formed a strong bond with the Scarab, Khaji Da and this happens! He should've done something! Jaime watched with eyes sad as his breath was ragged with anger and sadness. He remembered everything clearly. Why didnt I do anything!?

It wasnt your fault Jaime Reyes.

Yes! It was! I knew! We knew! And we couldnt stop anything to stop it!!

There the Khaji fell quiet.

Jaime sighed softly and wiped his eyes. He remembered everything.

Wally, Bart and Barry as Kid Flash, Impulse and Flash were running around a crysicilis that formed and that could ruin Earth's atmospheric level. But due to Kid Flash's slow speed. Jaime saw this. Wearing his Blue Beetle armour he went rigid and tense. Impulse slowed down on purpose which caused the energy to fly out to him instead of Wally.
"Bart!!" yelled Barry. Jaime watched horrified. Bart looked at himself fading. Still, he smiled and knowing Jaime would hear.
"I'll never let you die" was Jaime heard from afar. His body tensed.
"Hermano.." he remembered that promise. It was that promise they made. Before they did their final plan to bring them down.

Jaime felt like a jerk. Worse than a jerk. He couldnt reply back at that time..

The crysilis was slowly vanishing, Bart was running on normal speed as the energy used him as a escape bound. Wally gasped.
"Bart!" he yelled. Bart shook his head. He was fading and with a strong voice yet in a whisper as he faced where he guessed Jaime was facing as he watched.
"Te Amo.." was all he said as Jaime heard. He was stunned. Speechless. But it was too late before he could answer.. Bart vanished.
"IMPULSE!!" yelled Flash as the crysilis completely vanished both Flash and Kid Flash knelt down weak and panting. Jaime stared at nothing only seeing Bart's goggles he picked up. Tim arrived at the scene with Beastboy. They gasped. They became close to the speedster.

Jaime noticed everyone left to get dry. He looked at the stone. He took a deep breath.

"Te Amo, Bart.." he whispered as he slowly walked inside the cave.

A broken promise he couldnt keep but Bart kept it to his heart dearly.
