𝐈 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐓 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐊. I had just been tripped by a five year old, beaten up by his brother, and I'm older than them. Rather embarrassing to admit aloud to others, thinking that I'm practically as weak as a twig ; easily snapped in half.

I had been walking to a park when it all started. I kicked a rock, checked my phone a couple of times. Absolutely normal, nothing out of the ordinary. But as soon as I got to the park, I felt this feeling like I was being watched. I looked back a couple of times, seeing no one.

I walked around the play structure a couple of times before sitting under the tree. I was staring at my phone when a bright light had been flashed. I groaned and rubbed my eyes a couple of times before opening them. A figure with what I depicted as wings is standing right in front of me, smiling as if we've been friends forever.

"Hey, nice costume kid." I say, "But you're too early. It isn't Halloween yet."

The girl looked at me and shook your head, "My name is Roseanne Park and I'm your Guardian Angel."

"No, you're not. You're just a little delusional and maybe a bit crazy." I say, but not even trusting myself.

It's not common to have a Guardian Angel, and those who said they are have been announced as crazy. But to see one in real life...I feel as if I'm too weak for this. Pathetic.

"Sir, you know I can sense your doubt. What about we go somewhere else?" Rose asks, seeming calmer than she should.

"Can anyone see you?" I question.

"As of right now, yes." She says, "Everyone can see me, no matter how hard I try for them not to."

"Then can you look more...I don't know...human?" I point at her wings, "You stick out."

She looks over her shoulder to see her white as snow wings, and with a blink of an eye, they're gone. Her clothes stay the same, a simple white dress with a necklace. "Am I good now?"

"Yes. We can go to my house." I say, and beckon for her to follow me. She follows me, her steps graceful and small. She reminds me of a dancer, everything she does seems like she's doing a show and standing in front of an audience.

We soon reached my humble abode, a small studio apartment. I grabbed the keys from out of my pocket, fumbled with them as I was trying to find the right key, and entered the key into the small hole. I twisted it and opened the door, the lights still on and making the room seem a little more tidy than it was before.

"It's...comfy." Rose said, obviously not sure what to say.

"Probably much smaller than you are used to, but I make it work." I say with a grunt, moving my heavy books to another table. I sit on the couch and Rose plops right beside me with an 'oof'.

"So what exactly are you going to do?" I ask, a little suspicious of her duty.

"Protect you. That's pretty much just it." She replies dully, as if I've asked a retarded question.

"There's no need for me to have you! I'm perfectly fine by myself!" I exclaim.

"Getting beaten up by a five isn't being perfectly fine!" She retorts.

"I don't need you!" I shout, getting irritated for no reason whatsoever.

"You need me. I can protect you." She says, "I need you. You help with my training."

I take a while to answer, because I've always been fine. I never need anything. So now? Please, someone just drag me to hell.
