Hello, this is my first story so I hope you enjoy this! FYI, Yuu is You. I really didn't wanna mention it was a x reader story. This is all platonic, no romantic feelings here!

Years ago, there was a young little girl who lived a life where pain and loss etched themselves into the very fabric of existence, a girl named Yuu. She bore a heavy heart burdened by the weight of a tragic past. In her childhood, she endured a life of abuse and neglect, her innocence stolen by cruelty. But in the darkness, there was a single glimmer of hope that shone through her desolate days—Obito Uchiha.

Obito, a young Uchiha full of dreams and aspirations, had reached out to Yuu when no one else did. His kind words and unwavering support had been her lifeline. Together, they had weathered the storms of adversity, Obito's optimistic spirit serving as a beacon in her dark world.

Their days were filled with conversations about dreams of becoming Hokage and how he complains about Kakashi thinking he's so cool (which he was). Obito thought that he could bring about change and create a brighter future for everyone around him was infectious. It was his determination that fueled Yuu's own ambition to rise above her circumstances and forge her own path.

But then came the day when the world crumbled, much like the boulder that was said to have crushed Obito. News of his demise hit Yuu like a tidal wave, extinguishing the light that had driven her forward. Yet, despite her grief, a fire ignited within her—a fierce determination to avenge the boy who had shown her the possibility of hope.

Years passed, and the world plunged into the darkness of the Fourth Ninja War. Through the chaos of battle, Yuu's eyes locked onto a figure she had thought lost forever. Obito Uchiha stood before her, but he was unrecognizable, consumed by the very darkness he had once vowed to conquer. The truths of the world had twisted him, turning his ideals into bitter ashes.

As Yuu gazed upon the boy who had been her guiding star, her heart shattered. The memories of their shared laughter, the dreams they had woven, all seemed like fragile illusions. It was as if she had been stabbed by the cruelest of betrayals, a betrayal not just of a friend, but of the essence of light that had given her strength.

In that frozen moment, the past echoed in her mind. She saw herself as that broken child, finding solace in Obito's words and dreams. Every flashback was a testament to the spark he had ignited within her, the spark that now lay buried beneath the darkness that consumed him. The battlefield continued to rage around them, but Yukari remained motionless, caught between the girl she once was and the woman she had become. The clash of ideals, the tragedy of a fallen comrade, and the stark reality of a world that had lost its way—all of it converged in her tear-filled gaze.

Obito...

She stood there. Haunted by the memories of both her sad childhood and the boy who had saved her from its depths, Yukari understood the true nature of her journey. It wasn't about vengeance anymore; it was about holding onto the flicker of light that had once been Obito's dream. And as she wept for what was lost, she also wept for what might have been, for the boy who was swallowed by the very darkness he had fought against.

Kakashi's firm grip yanked Yuu away from Obito's black rod when Obito took advantage of her still body. With stern eyes,

"Yuu, keep your guard up. Don't let the memories and emotions go through your head, this isn't the same Obito anymore!"

But even his wisdom couldn't sever the tendrils of heartache that gripped her soul.

As Obito clashed against Kakashi, Yuu's gaze remained fixed on the tragic spectacle. The fire that once raged within her had dimmed, replaced by a haunting numbness. The boy who had been her source of strength now personified the very despair he had fought against. The weight of his fall bore down on her, crushing her resolve beneath its oppressive truth. How could she hope to triumph where even Obito had even failed? Failed to beat the darkness he swore to beat?
