It's afternoon in the kingdom of Vale and in the middle of the beautiful red forest lay the corpses of dead Grimm as they disintegrate. We see three people fighting them with of them using weapon and one weaponless. This is Team JNPR, with the members being Nora Valkyrie, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, and their leader Jaune.

"Damn, we look so badass," Nora commented.
"Swear Jar, Nora~" Ruby said in a sing song voice.
Nora groaned in annoyance as she forked over the Lien.
There is no surname for him since he just recently got disowned by his father, Nicolas Arc, against his mother, Natalie Arc, and his sisters'wishes.
Nicolas hung his head in shame while Ironwood growled in frustration. He had warned Nicolas countless times to train his children, but his friend never listened once. Now his godson was apparently on some other world entirely and had been turned into an anthropomorphic lion. Even in Ironwood's thoughts, that sounded extremely weird.
This all started after Jaune saved his bully, Cardin Winchester, from an Ursa Major by cutting off its head. Jaune thought that Cardin would at least some respect for saving his life, but instead he told everyone about his fake transcripts and that he killed the Major, not Jaune.
"You did what?!" Saphron angrily exclaimed at Cardin, putting the fear of Oum into him.
"Not cool, birdbrain," Roman said, shaking his head in disapproval. "Not cool at all."
Neo, who was feeding ice cream to Adrian (with Saphron and Terra's permission of course), also glared at Cardin. Adrian just gave Cardin a cute pout.
"You can't shoot kids, you can't shoot kids, you can't shoot kids..." Ironwood muttered to himself.
Headmaster Ozpin and Headmistress Glynda Goodwitch have ordered the students if they harass Jaune in any way, then they would be expelled and blacklisted from all hunters academies. So the students either just make fun of him, avoid him, or glare at him for being the "faker" of the school. Even Weiss Schnee calls him a failure and tries to attack him when the teachers aren't looking.
"What?!" Saphron and Natalie sneered.
"I'm very disappointed in you, sister," Winter said with a disappointed look.
"You are so grounded young lady," Willow said, causing Weiss to wish the floor would just swallow her.
"Should I-?" Glynda began to ask.
"I doubt you or any other member of the staff are interested in dealing with the headache that is Jacques Schnee, Ms. Goodwitch," Ozpin replied. "For now, we'll just suspend her for a month."
But not everyone was angry at him for the transcripts. His teammates and his friends, who were compromised of Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao Long, Blake Belladonna, Coco Adel, and Velvet Scarlatina, wanted to hear his side of the story.
