Mall Trip
"I can't believe you agreed to this," Derek sighs, keys rattling as he gets out of the car. Scott's mom's car is pulled up next to his, with Jackson's on the other side of him.
Scott laughs, shoving the door behind him shut and circling the vehicle to open the back seat, "They wanted to go the mall, I thought it could be a fun trip."
"Yeah, the mall that's a two-hour drive from Beacon Hills," Jackson says, helping Lydia out of the front seat.
"We can't exactly take them anywhere in town, everybody knows everybody," Scott replies, gesturing for his own collection of kids to hop out of the vehicle.
Stiles and Malia held hands as they got out, the mentally older picking up Stiles with her werecoyote strength, while Kira let Scott lift her up and out of the front seat.
Isaac, Liam, and Ethan got out of Derek's back seat, while Lydia was hoisted to a piggyback by Jackson from his passenger seat.
"Onwards!" she shouts, pointing towards the building.
Derek and Jackson give each other a Look, while Scott starts guiding, "Malia, hold onto Stiles, okay?" he urges, grabbing Stiles's and Kira's hands in his own, "If anybody gets lost, call a caregiver or go to the food court."
There's a chorus of confirmation, before they're heading for the building. Isaac is loudly talking with Ethan when they're about halfway across the parking lot, while Liam has finally forced Derek to give him a piggyback like Jackson has Lydia.
If they get weird looks in the various stores, nobody really seems to care, because they walk out with candy, new clothes, and a bucket full of smiles.
