Maybe, just maybe, going after the pillager outpost alone wasn't his brightest idea.

In his defense, he had full enchanted diamond armor and tools, a shield, a bow, etc and he was certain he was prepared until, well, it got to be a bit too much. He was surrounded, quickly running out of arrows, and starting to panic.

He barely managed to dig into a hole and block himself in before he got below four hearts and alerted Scar to the situation. From there, he just sat for a minute and ate, panic and adrenaline making his heart race and his lungs weak.

The pillagers were still up there, his shovel was about to break, and he had no idea how he was going to get out of this alive.

...

Scar prided himself on being a generally calm and friendly guy. When he panicked it was because there was really, really something worth panicking over: like a warden getting loose on the surface, or nearly falling into the void, things like that.

Which is why when he is oh so peacefully working on the panda sanctuary and he starts to panic, starts to feel like his throat is closing and his chest is tight and like everything is going to go wrong, he knows it isn't him that's panicking.

However, he had no idea what Grian was doing.

Grian, being a generally anxious person as Scar quickly found out with their soulbind, could be doing anything from getting wood to fighting the Warden head-on. To be honest, he wasn't really sure if he should panic and run out to find Grian or if he should just keep building and hope things would calm down.

And then he started taking damage.

Seven hearts, six hearts– all the way down to four and a half hearts in his health bar and he decided that trying to find Grian was definitely the best course of action.

"Grian?!" he shouted in panic, practically dropping his blocks in his rush to get out of the sanctuary, "Grian, where are you?!" he double checked the fort, just to be safe, all while calling the name of his soulbound.

When he didn't find anything, not even a trace of Grian having been there in the last couple hours, he rushed outside and toward the nearby ranch, "Jimmy, Tango, have you seen Grian?!" he yelled, kicking the gate shut behind himself.

"Scar?" Tango peaked out a window, Jimmy pausing where he was repairing a hole in their wall (A creeper, maybe?).

"Come back for another shot at the ranch?" Jimmy snarked, pulling out his sword.

"Woah, woah!" Scar held his hands up placatingly, "No! I can't find Grian and he's–," Scar flinched as he took a heart of damage, before suddenly losing his breath and taking a gasping breath, "Panicking and taking damage, have you seen him?" he tried to keep his voice generally calm, but he had a feeling it wasn't really working.

Jimmy and Tango shared a look, a conversation held without words, before Jimmy sighed and nodded, returning to building, "He was over by Scotts last I saw, said hello on his way through, I can come with if ya' like?" he offers, already heading down through the house and outside.

"That'd be great! We better get going though, I have no idea what's–," another gasping breath, this time accompanied by an uncomfortable echo-y feeling in his chest, "What's happening with him."

"Of course!" Tango agreed easily, leading Scar out of the ranch and toward the Relationship Ranch, "Scott, you home?!" he shouted, strolling up toward the porch and banging on the door.

"Jeez, no need to yell," Scott scowled from his spot in the farm beside his house, "What's going on?"

"Grians missing, panicking and taking damage!" Scar filled in.
