Part 1: Meeting Fate
Izuku's POV
Izuku Midoriya's heart raced as he stepped into the bustling hero convention. It was a paradise for anyone who admired heroes, and he was no exception. Costumed fans roamed the halls, their excitement palpable in the air.
He couldn't believe his luck when he spotted the booth of his idol, Mirko, the Rabbit Hero. Her posters and merchandise adorned the area, showcasing her fierce and confident persona. His admiration for her went beyond her heroics – it was her tenacity and spirit that truly captured his heart.
As Mirko took the stage for a panel discussion, the crowd erupted into cheers. Izuku found himself swept up in the excitement, his eyes fixated on the dynamic hero before him.
Rumi's POV
Rumi Usagiyama, Mirko to the world, relished the attention from her fans. The roars of approval were like music to her ears as she addressed the eager crowd.
After the panel, as she mingled with fans at her booth, a timid voice caught her attention. "Um, excuse me, Mirko-san?"
Rumi turned, her blue eyes locking onto a young man with messy green hair. She raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his presence. "What's up, kid?"
"I, uh, I'm a huge fan of yours," he said, his cheeks reddening. "Your determination and strength inspire me."
Rumi's lips curled into a smirk. "Well, you've got good taste, kid."
They talked for a while, the conversation flowing surprisingly easily. The boy's name was Izuku Midoriya, and Rumi was taken aback by his genuine passion for heroism. She saw a spark in his eyes that reminded her of her own fiery determination.
Third Person POV - Other Characters
Elsewhere at the convention, Mina Ashido and Ochaco Uraraka watched from a distance as Izuku and Rumi conversed. Mina nudged Ochaco playfully. "Looks like someone's making a bold move, huh?"
Ochaco chuckled. "It's nice to see Izuku-kun opening up like this."
Back near Mirko's booth, Shoto Todoroki observed the scene with a thoughtful expression. He had seen Izuku's admiration for Mirko grow over time, and he couldn't help but feel a mixture of curiosity and respect for both of them.
Izuku's POV
As the conversation with Mirko continued, Izuku's nervousness began to ebb away. He found himself sharing stories about his own hero training, his eyes lighting up as he recounted his determination to become a hero who could save everyone.
Mirko listened attentively, her smirk softening into a genuine smile. "You remind me a lot of myself when I was starting out," she admitted. "Keep that passion alive, kid."
Izuku's heart swelled with her words. "I will, Mirko-san. Thank you for believing in me."
Rumi's POV
Rumi couldn't deny the connection she felt with Izuku. He was earnest, driven, and his unwavering determination resonated with her on a profound level. It had been a while since someone had managed to pierce through her tough exterior, and she found herself enjoying their conversation more than she anticipated.
As the convention wound down, Izuku gathered his courage once more. "Um, Mirko-san, would you maybe want to grab a coffee sometime? I mean, if you're not too busy saving the day, that is."
Rumi's lips curled into a mischievous grin. "You're a brave one, aren't you?"
Izuku blushed but met her gaze head-on. "Well, heroes face challenges head-on, right?"
Rumi chuckled. "You've got a point, kid. Sure, I'd like that."
As they exchanged contact information, a sense of anticipation filled the air. Little did they know that this chance encounter at a hero convention would mark the beginning of a journey neither of them expected.
