I woke up to my youngest brother's face really close to mine. I look towards the compartment door to see my two other brother's standing there waiting for me to get up, signaling that we have arrived at hogsmeade station.
Me and Alex took a carriage with Draco and his sister Bluebell, while Daniel met up with some of his friends and Keith took the boats with the rest of the first years
It was quite in the carriage but it wasn't uncomfortable nor awkward. We got along well with Draco and Bluebell, we have been friends since we were children and Alex have always had a crush on Bluebell.
When we arrived at hogwarts we walked to the great hall for dinner and the sorting of the first year's. Me and Alex separated, I walked to the slytherin table and he walked to the ravenclaw table. I could see Daniel at the gryffindor table laughing at something his friend said.
The doors to the great hall opened and I could see the sea of first year's flooding in. I saw Keith in the middle of the crowd of first year's and waved when he noticed me, to which he waved back.
As the first year's were being sorted I looked around the great hall. It wasn't really different from how it was when we were first years but after dumbledors death everything went down hill. Instead of the welcoming and safe feeling hogwarts gave of, it became unwelcome, hostile and scary and during the battle of hogwarts, hogwarts hade just been ruins to the point I though it to be unfixable. But here I am, my officially last year at hogwarts, without a threat hanging over us.
"White, Keith" professor Mcgonagal called out.
I watch as my brother goes to sit on the stool as professor Mcgonagal placed the sorting hat on my younger brother's head, covering his eyes in the process.
"Hufflepuff" it called out. My brother walked towards the hufflepuff table sat down with rest of the hufflepuff first year's but looked at me. I gave him a gentle and encouraging smile. He smiled back and stared to engage in the conversation at he's table.
" welcome back to hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, the house you've been sorted into is to be your second family trough out your year at hogwarts. I would like to welcome the first year that have joined us this year, welcome back the students who chose to stay and redo their 7th year as 8th year's and of course those student that have some more year's left at hogwarts" everyone applauded and cheered as she waited a moment to continue.
"I would like for the 7th and 8th year students to stay after dinner to make an important announcement from the ministry. Now, with that said, let the feast begin" and with that, food was on the table as some people gossiped about the news after dinner.
After every one where done with dinner and the 7th and 8th year students waited for the rest of the school to leave the great hall and for professor Macgongal to explain why she wanted us to stay.
"I deeply regret to inform you about a new yet old law the ministry has chosen to re-enforce. A law not used for centuries, the marriage law.
I want all of you to know that your guardians, the professors and I have done everything in our power to try and stop this from happening but to no avail. I do apologize for future events but what's done is done and there isn't much more we can do to change it" she stopped talking, giving us sometime to process her words before continuing her speech.
"Tomorrow morning after breakfast you are to stay in the great hall to answer a few questions about yourself, what you want in your spouse and about your plans for the future. Then you will be free from classes the rest of the day and will get to know who your future spouse is at dinner tomorrow. You will get more information about the rest of the school year and more about the law afterwards.
I do deeply apologize for this, your free to go back your old dorms"
And with that everyone left quietly still processing this information.

I was sitting on one of the couches in the slytherin common room together with Bluebell, Draco, Blaise and Pansy. We were the only slytherins to re-take our 7th year.
"So how do you guys feel about the new law so far" asked Blaise.
"I don't know how to feel. I finally got a chance to live a free life away from my fathers way of thinking and I get thrown into this" bluebell says with a soft frown on her face.
"I'm shocked and angry but there is not much we can do" I say.
"What do you mean, there is a lot we can do" Draco said confused.
"As you guys know my parents are dead which makes me the head of my house as I am the oldest sibling and I get a say in important meetings as my family is part of the sacred 28, so I was there when they chose to reinforce the marriage law. The consequences are severe. If we don't follow the law we'll get our wand snapped in half and be sent to Azkaban" I say with a sigh but with no emotion showing.
They didn't say anything about the new law after that and after a while we left for our rooms.
I couldn't sleep and as it was really late I left my dorm room and the common room to just walk the halls of hogwarts. While walking I heard a noise. I went towards the noise to see a little boy no older the 4 walking around, he seemed scared.
" hey" I said in a soft voice not to scar the boy anymore. He turned to me.
"H-hey" he stuttered.
"What's your name" I asked
"I-I'm Teddy"
"Hey Teddy, I'm Adelaide. Don't you think it's a little late to be outside of your room and alone at that" I asked him with a smile.
"I was searching for my stuffed wolf, I can't sleep without him if I have nightmares, " he said.
"Oh my, do you need any help. I know a few tricks to help you fall a sleep, my younger brother also get nightmares sometimes" I told him.
" he do?" he asked.
"He does, now do you know which house you're supposed to be in" I asked.
"I think uncle Harry said it was Gryffindor" he said.
"Perfect, when you have fallen asleep I will take you there and if you wake up with me instead that means I couldn't get in so I will help you find your uncle Harry tomorrow instead, alright?" I asked smiling.
"Ok" he said
"Come here" I sait sitting on the ground, my back leaning against the wall.

He sat in my lap, his back against my arms that were cradling him. I used my wand to play a soft tune for me to sing too.

When I was done with the song I looked at Teddy and saw him asleep. I picked him up and walked towards the dungeons where the slytherin common room was and walked in.
I never went to the gryffindor tower because everyone is probably asleep and I don't know the password.
I went inside my dorm, which I share with both Bluebell and Pansy, put him on my bed, laid beside him and drifted of to sleep.
