Wynter's pov
"Wyni " my mom calls. " Wyni"she calls again. " I am gaming mom I can't come right now" I answer as I am about to win my mom calls " wynter come downstairs now" she says in her serious tone . I sigh and pause the game. And head down. I get down and walk to my mom who's sitting at the dining table . " you need something mom" I ask in fake polite tone . "Sit down" she says. I do as told.she takes a deep breath " I have something to tell you" she says sounding nervous " yeah? " I say " well....... while on a business trip last month I met someone" she says " okay ? " I say giving her a' why are you telling me this ' look " and his a really good man " she says. " Ok" I say " mom just get to the point" I say getting impatient." We are getting Engaged " she says " what!!!!" I say . She just dropped a bomb on me . " I am not done " she says in frustrated tone . What could she say next that we're moving to china ." We're moving in with him next week " she says. " Of course we are " I say in sarcastic way " mom you just met this guy last month and you already wanna move in with him " I say. " I love David . He will treat us better than your father ever could" she says that last sentence hurt me .my dad left us when I was nine to go marry a lady in Korea so any mention of him hurts me . "Why " I storm off in tears." Wyni wait I didn't mean to say that " she says I ignore her . I run into my room slammed the door. Threw myself on the bed and cried
Later that day
Knock knock " wyni " my mom calls . Knock knock knock" wyni dear please open" she pleads.I get up to open the door. now my mom stands in front of me with cookies and lasagna. " Can we talk?" She ask .I nod and sit on my bed . She sets the food on my desk then sits next to me." Wyni I am sorry . I know talking about your dad hurts you. I didn't mean to. I need you to hear me out. I love David and want marry him. " She says " I have not even met this guy.mom " I say . " Ok here is a solution .we move there you stay for a week. If you don't like it.then you can come back and live with aunt jade( mom's cool sister) ok ?" She suggestions" I like that idea " I agree " I promise you will love Mayberry " She says " now eat your dinner" pointing to the food. Then left
