Chapter 6: Tips and tricks

You exit your manager's office and head towards the security office. You enter the room through the main hallway facing the security guard.

Thereof has mid-length wavy blond hair with a small light beard. As soon as you step into the office, he looks at you with his grey-brown eyes.

" - What are you doing here? He asks in a tired voice.

- Hello! I'm the new night guard!

- Oh... Hello there, you unlucky person.

- What a warm welcome...

- Like I care.

- I'd like to ask you some questions.

- Sure, go ahead. 

- See, I noticed that the animatronics... tend to get a bit quirky at night.

- No shit Sherlock...

- Anyway, I would have liked to know if you had any tips to give me."

His eyes widen in surprise.

" - You're asking me to give you some advices?

- Yes, please.

- Okay then... Uh... so... today will be your second night, right?

- Yes, indeed.

- Okay... so... I guess you have already met Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Puppet and Toy Freddy...

- Actually, I didn't have to face Toy Freddy.

- That's great. Anyway, three animatronics will join the party.

- Yup. And that's just the beginning.

He lifts up his hair, showing a large scar with stitches.

" - Oh my God...

- That bitch bit my frontal lobe... because I allowed her to get too close.

- How are you still alive?

- I don't even know. But this was a good reason to be switched to the day shift.

- Indeed.

- Anyway, back to my seemingly precious tips. Leave the camera panel on the Prize Corner's camera so whenever you need to wind up the music box, you'll be already on the right screen. Then, frequently check the two vents and the main hallway. If you spot that old fox, do not put the mask on! Flash the light towards him instead, it will make him leave. However, if you spot Toy Freddy in the corridor, don't be afraid to let him get close to you. As long as you repeatedly flash your light towards him, he won't dare enter the office. Besides the torn up fox and the puppet hiding inside the music box, you shall put the Freddy mask on whenever an animatronic comes close to your office, besides Toy Freddy, as I said.

- Wow, okay. That's... a lot of helpful recommendations.

- Indeed. Hope it will help.

- I'm sure it will. Thanks... Jeremy, you say while looking at the name written on his badge.

- No problem... [Y/n]."

You leave the building and head back home, locking yourself inside your bedroom, waiting for the night to come.

Once the time has come, after taking a nap for a few hours despite what your mother said, you get back to the pizzeria and sit down onto the seat. The phone rings and you pick it up like you did last night.

"Uh, hello? Hello? Uh... see, I told you your first night wouldn't be a problem!"

"Suuure I ALMOST DIED BITCH!"

"By now I'm sure you've noticed the older models... sitting in the back room. Those are from the previous location, and we just use them for parts now. The idea at first was to repair them. They even started retrofitting them with some of the newer technology. But they were just so ugly, you know. And the smell... ugh. Sooo... the company decided to just go in a whole new direction, and make them super kid friendly. Those older ones shouldn't be able to walk around, but if they do, the whole Freddy head trick should work on them too, so... whatever."

"Older models? Oh, this is what's hiding in the Parts & Services. Freddy head? Nah, I don't trust you, Phone Guy! Jeremy told me the exact opposite!"

"I loved those old characters. Have you ever seen Foxy the pirate? Oh wait, Foxy... oh yeah, Foxy! Uh... hey, listen! That one was always a bit twitchy, uh... I'm not sure if the Freddy head trick will work on Foxy. If for some reason he activates during the night, and you see him standing at the far end of the hall, just flash your light at him from time to time. Those older models would always get disoriented with bright lights. It would cause a... system restart or something. Come to think of it, you might want to try that on any room where something undesirable might be. It might hold them in place for a few seconds. That glitch might have carried over to the newer models too."

"Exactly what I was saying..."

"One more thing, don't forget the music box. I'll be honest, I've never liked that puppet thing. It's always... thinking, and it can go anywhere. I don't think the Freddy mask will fool it. So just don't forget the music box."

"Yeah yeah whatever. Wait... WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S "THINKING"?!!"

"Anyway, I'm sure it won't be a problem. Have a good night, and I'll talk to you tomorrow."
