Chapter 1 Who's Jacob? And Leah?!

I was staring at Kim and she nodded her as if to say 'that's how I felt'
"We have a brother?" I whispered.

"Yeah. Mom said that we have one and I kinda just assumed he was our age. So we're quadruplets." she smiled as if she could make everything better by doing that.

I tapped Kiely's arm and she turned around.

She had headphones on so I pulled them out.

"You might want to hear what I'm about to say." I whispered

"WE HAVE A BROTHER!! WHY DID YOU NEVER TELL US!!!" I screamed to dad.

He stopped the car and pulled over to the side of the road without looking at anyone or anything but the side of the road.

After he pulled over he turned around and looked at me.

"Who told you that?" He said with a look in his eyes ghat could make you shiver.

Kiely just kept staring at me with her mouth open. I told her she'd want to listen.

"Mom." Kim said with a brave look.

"Your mother. You're expecting me to believe your moth-."

"She came to me too." I said cutting him off.

"And what did she say to you?" Dad asked looking away from me and at anything else.

"She gave me a bag of presents from missed birthdays." I said looking at Kiely to see if her facial expression changed.

It didn't.

"I knew I'd have to tell you one day." he sighed.

"You have a brother named Jacob."

"Are we quadruplets now?" Kiely asked with her eyes tearing up.

"Ummm. Well... You see...."

"GET ON WITH IT!" I screamed.

"Yes." he said with a frown.

"Oh my god." I said covering my face.

"My whole life's been a lie." Kiely said opening her door.

No one told her to get back in cause we knew she wouldn't run off. She'd scream if she saw a little frog.

"I'm sorry guys. But the deal was your mother got Jacob and I got you girls."

"And how old were we when she took him?" I said not even wanting to say his name.

"4. When she tried to get Kim and Kiely, she got away with Jacob and the court said she can keep him."

"So that's it. We'll never see our brother?" Kim asked starting to cry.

"I don't know. And while we're on the topic of siblings...you girls have a half little sister named Leah." he said looking at Kiely making sure she heard.

She did and that's when she came back in the car.

"Well that's just great." she aid sitting down.

"Can we get back on the road now?" Kim asked crossing her arms and slamming back against her seat.

"Ok. Everyone buckle up." dad said putting his seat belt on.

This was going to be a fun 5 minutes
I thought to myself

We got back on the road and started driving and all I could think of is what Jacob and Leah are like.

Do they look like us or do they look come rely different?

Do they look identical to us?

Do they know about us?

I just wanted to find them.

After the falls

The falls weren't that exciting.

Maybe it was because the whole time I was thinking about Jacob and Leah.

We got back to the cabin and it was around 6 o'clock.

I grabbed a frozen pizza and reheated it and went in my room.

I ate the pizza and started thinking.

Thinking about how my dad never told us about them.

And how it took us 13 years to find out about them.

But I also thought about how there were no pictures of Jacob in our baby pictures.

I went in dad's room and grabbed his phone.

I went into photos and scrolled up to photos of us when we were babies.

There's a picture of me, Kim, and Kiely.

I tapped select and crop.

When I pressed cropped the whole photo came up.

In the corner of the picture, there was my mother holding Jacob in her arms.

"Lies." I whispered to myself.

I put the phone down and ran out the door.

I didn't know where I was going but I want gonna stop running.
