Lana

Chapter 9 Backlash

I look at Destiny over the moon that I found her. 

She walks up and sits by me and says, "Hey Lana thank you for looking for me." 

"You told me to help and I wanted to I didn't know you would be so far away. How did you get my number anyway?" 

"My sister went Russia years ago and met a girl named Lana we was the only stranger that was nice enough to take her in to focus on her study, and kept bumping into each other." 

"I had roommate name Mira she was foreigner from the United States she didn't speak Russian but I spoke English. Was that your sister??" 

"Yeah," 

"How is Mira?" 

"She lives in Georgia with her Husband Adam."

 "Well that's good, that doesn't explain how you got my number."

 "Mira gave to me when I called about our trip was weird and they exerted really violent behavior towards us.

 Apparently Mira feared the worst for us so she said she had a friend named Lana that worked in

 the CIA that I could contact if anything else happen she text me your number. 

That night when it happened I remember what my sister said and called you.

 I didn't know that you were Russian."

 "That's okay I'm just glad that you escaped," 

"I just I got away from them but I didn't." 

"Don't worry will get out of this, I promise."

 "Mira also told me about a girl named Sonya that you were trying to track down."

 "Sonya...  my crew doesn't know where I am." 

"You work with her?" 

"Yeah she's been doing good, but doesn't a surprise me that a formal assassin would do well in the field." 

"CIA hired an assassin?" 

"No she's a formal assassin, her daughter is too."

"Oh, What's her name?"

"Rachel. Holy shit! I forgot all about my team."

"Let me get this straight, you flew all the way from Russia to save me?"

"Yeah as soon as you called me I booked a flight immediately." 

"Really?" 

"You said you were in danger and didn't know if you parent would find you I had to act fast."

"How are we gonna survive this?"

"Just don't give up on yourself, I know it sound cliche but I really mean it. 

I just wish I would have texted Sonya before looking for you in this country." 

"They must have some fancy CIA tech right?" 

"Yeah, but I made sure they couldn't track my phone. I should have known something like this would happen." 

One of the men shoot their rifle in the air everyone gasps and horror as they start yelling in Arabic. 

The only girl kidnapper couldn't get her eyes off Blake which was weird, but I didn't pay much attention.

When she blinks she looks at me and destiny and kneels her foot into our shoulder blades. 

I hear a crack from my back didn't think much off it until the shooting pain when her foot was lifted. 

My back hurt so bad the rest of their day, we sat in the sand all day while they torture us 2 were killed because how slow they were. 

I stayed silent while destiny cried after she heard the guns go off. 

She whispered in my ear, "We are not making out of this alive are we?" 

"We need to have hope," I whisper. 

Then all of sudden I hear something that sounds like chopper passing by I hear gunshots shooting members around me. 

I see bodies drop everyone ducking their head then the shots stop I see a dark object drop in front of  me it lights up with a text from Lauren that reads, Miss Me? with emoji pointing upward.

 I crack smile and whisper, "You son of a bitch," 

I look up to see the propellers stoping as they land the door opens three girls jump out I laugh tears fill my eyes as Blake looks at me I run at them almost knocking one of them done. 

I hear her say "Girl, you all muddy when was the last time you took a shower?"

 I playfully smack her on the arm I pull up to her feet. 

 "What took you guys so long." 

"Give us break your phone was dead so it took us a while and you never told anyone you were making a trip."

 "Sorry," I laugh.

  I tell everyone who is on the ground they are CIA and that they were going home they showed them their badge and rush of emotion fills the people as they a rush to get on the plane. Destiny gives a hug and makes her way on the plane, I turn to Sonya and ask, "Were did you get a helicopter?" "I borrowed it." I laugh walking up to the helicopter. "What what's so funny?"
