My foot steps quickened as my instincts told me the mysterious shadow moved closer. My new Nikes squelched in the mud. I needed to rest but whoever or whatever was following me, seemed determined to catch me. I kept running, pushing through the thick woods.
Suddenly, my body froze, I couldn't run no more. Before me, was a cliff. The depth of it was enough to scare your soul away. Morever jumping it, meant you were prepared to hit a hard, solid, rocky ground. That, would be suicide. I was cornered, I had to choose between to be killed or suicide and neither looked appealing. But I was forced to pick one.
My choice was: jump.
I breathed in and out, counting down from three. This was it.
"Three,....two.....,one."
"Wait!" Whoever said that was too late, I launched myself off the cliff.
