☆⭒Kaylin: Lesbian, Demigirl (She/They)⭒☆

Kaylin gently rubbed the crystallized blade in her rough brown hands. Her short cut curly copper hair glistened in the sun light that shown in. She looked up momentarily to survey their cozy home. It was carefully put together with moss, vines, stones, and bark. A light purple cage sat in the corner, glowing softly. She looked down at their outfit. It was a simple black crop-top and a pair of jean shorts. Right between her collar bone was a crystal. The crystal was a clear white which would change color every now and then. She looked at the blade which reflected her yellow cat-like eyes staring right back at her. In that moment, she felt calm. As if the world had slowed for just that moment.

Then, a loud boom came from outside and they groaned, lifting herself from the place she sat to look out the window. Outside stood a portal, and a demon standing in front of it. It snarled and gripped its weapon tightly. Kaylin tilted her head and raised a brow. "That's new, is he coming for me?" she said, her voice calm. After a few moments, she let out a chuckle. "Of course he is." She twirled her sword around and opened the door. The demon spotted her quickly. He grinned and began to run at them. She adjusted her shirt, carefully getting into a running stance.

(Caution, gore ahead. You've been warned)

"Hey there big boy, wanna dance?" she asked as the demon got closer and closer. "Let's dance." The demon went to swing his hammer, but Kaylin flipped over him and dragged her blade across the center of his chest, up and over his face, then down his back. He yowled in pain for only a moment before he split into two. From the portal another demon emerged, swinging its sword wildly. She ran over and swung. A small sliver of his flesh on his arm came clean off, revealing the muscles and bone underneath. He shrieked as Kaylin ran around him, letting their blade press deep into his flesh as she fully split him in half. He fell to the ground, laying quietly. Before she had a moment to breathe, the portal grew. A crowd of demons stepped out. The general in front. Kaylin adjusted her posture and moved her sword around.

"Hey boys! Welcome to my ballroom. How about I teach you my favorite dance hm?" she said with a smug smirk, showing her sharp teeth. Her yellow eyes began to glow and two crystallized tails formed behind her. The ends were as sharp as daggers. "I'm sure it'll drop you dead." The general chuckled at her remark and the demons began the attack. She ran up and jumped into the air, plunging her tail into the backs of two and spinning her blade at five others. The others were shocked by her stamina but prepared to try and attack again. Kaylin hopped off the seven now dead demons and combined her two tails, then fired it into the side of one of the demons, then another, and another, until she had twelve demons on her tail like a sinners kabob. They slid the dead demons off her tail and pulled it back, eyeing the general. He was left alone, but still prepared to pounce. He didn't get the chance. Kaylin grabbed his wrists and ankles, holding him against his will. The gem on her chest began to crack, but the closer she got and the smaller her tails were, it calmed down only a little. "Looks like it's just me and you general~" she said playfully. He grunted and tugged at their tails.

(Gore warnings over for now)

"You'll pay for my death! All you Crystal Children will!"

"Who said I was going to kill you?" The portal closed and she walked back to her base. The general tugged at the chains, trying to break free but continuously coming to no avail.

"Release me now!" He snapped, growling at her. She didn't respond. As they both made it inside, Kaylin opened the purple cage and moved the general into it. Then she locked the door.

"Good luck getting out of that. The bars are made with bits of Unistones so they're practically unbreakable" she said, setting her blade on the wall and grabbing a yellow stone from a drawer. As she ate it, her gem began to relax, going back to its calming form and no longer glowing. The general looked at the gem and began to drool. Demons considered gems and crystals to be similar to candy or deserts. Kaylin swallowed the rest of the crystal and walked over to the spot she was in that morning. "So, you're general Abaddon right?" she asked. He nodded. "I hope you know, the generals before you have been in that same cage. At least the ones who threatened me." He stayed silent for a moment before sighing in defeat.

"I suppose I am at your mercy Crystal child." She gave a cocky smile and began to clean her blade. Abaddon looked around, trying to see if there was another way out. After a long moment of silence, Kaylin set her blade to the side.

"I have a few questions. Who are your current prince and princess?" Her question caught the general off guard.

"Currently?.. Well, his majesty Dagon the destroyer and his wife Azathoth" he responded. Kaylin raised a brow.

"Does Azathoth.. like Dagon?" she asked. Abaddon shook his head.

"She has no interest in the prince. But the prince is very fond of her. Why do you ask Crystal child?"

"First off I have a name. It's Kaylin" she snapped, grabbing her blade. "and second, that's none of your business." He put his hands up in defense. "I was only asking" he said "there's no need to get aggressive." She rolled her eyes and stood up. "Where is the princess now?"

"Right now she is in the capital city Hadleigh, in the palace. Under high guard" he responded, crossing his arms. "I assume you would like to find her?"

"Yes, and you're going to take me to her. If you don't I'll kill you." She then pointed her blade at the demon who didn't seem afraid.

"I'd rather die at the hands of a Crystal child then bring you to the princess. Besides, what's in it for me if I do?" he growled lowly. Kaylin thought for a few moments before putting her hands on her hip.

"If you don't take me to her, I will kill your whole family. Your wife and kids. And I'll make you watch." Abaddon perked up only a little. He then chuckled.

"You? A Crystal child? Threatening to kill my family? Quite the big threat for a small girl of your background. How would you even find them, huh?" He said, laughing at his own words. Kaylin didn't like that second last sentence. She grabbed a crystal and showed it to him. At first, he wasn't sure what they were doing. But then he saw his wife. She was smiling and cooking dinner. His heart dropped. "Who is this? It's your wife right?" He didn't respond. She glared at him, beginning to crush the gem. Abaddon flinched and tried to stop her.

"Don't break that! You'll kill her!!" he yelled. "She's my wife! Please don't hurt her!" With that, Kaylin loosened her grip and raised her brow. "Okay okay.. I'll.. I'll bring you to the princess. Just.. please don't break that gem.." he begged. She walked over to her seat and grabbed a bag, placing the gem safetly wrapped in an old piece of paper.

"You promise not to bring me to the princess unharmed?"

"I can't promise it but I will try" he said. Then, Kaylin opened the cage and let him out. Abaddon stepped out and gave a nod. "Can we stop at towns to rest? Since I am not fully prepared for a 4 day long trip." Kaylin gave a sigh and nodded.

"Yes. But you get to pay for your own things." She said. Abaddon hummed in agreement and stood by the door.

"Then let's be on our way"
