Chelsea
"Ugh, I said 'well done,' but I guess this will do?"
I said as the guys in the corner didn't do anything but stare at me. It made me feel extremely creeped out, but in a way, he was really cute. However, I had a boyfriend at home, Dylan, who I despised sometimes but was a great guy. Plus, there was Missy, who was always messy and finding a way to break us up, and crazy ass Jaz, who mostly laughs at nonsense. Things were complicated, but in the end, we were always friends.
As for the guy in the corner, he dressed like one of the guys, but his eyes were freakishly green, and his hair was slicked back just like the guy Mr. Holwin was talking to. So maybe he could be his son, but I wasn't sure. I was so busy eating when all of a sudden, the door opened. It was another guy, but this one just headed to the kitchen and was another black guy covered in blood.
"The hell? Did you see that guy's shirt?"
Brook exclaimed, too busy eating to notice. But I had a feeling that I should find out what was going on. Maybe it would provide some clues about why we were here in the first place. I waited patiently to make sure I wasn't imagining things, but I couldn't resist taking a quick peek. Just as I took a bite of my salad, I heard the sounds of a chainsaw and a woman screaming for her life.
Brook and I froze, while Gus laughed.
"It's alright, girls. It's just another crazy situation, please excuse me for a moment,"
he said, sliding out of the booth and heading towards the kitchen, his face as red as a firetruck.
"What the hell is going on?"
Brook asked Mr. Howlin, but he was too drunk and clueless to respond.
"Not a clue. Are you girls ready to go?"
he asked. We simply nodded, but just as we were about to leave...
"ALERT! ALERT!"
The alarm in the kitchen buzzed, and Brook, Mr. Howlin, and I quickly ducked under the table. We cautiously peeked to see what was going on. A woman crawled out of the kitchen with one leg dripping blood. Our mouths were covered, and we were traumatized by her screams.
Brook and I nearly were in tears, scared to death, while Mr. Howlin quietly comforted us.
"It's okay,"
he mumbled, nervously swallowing. We watched as the men in the kitchen ushered the lady back inside.
"Okay... let's make a run for it?"
Mr. Howlin suggested, but I knew it would be a bad idea.
Once the three of us took a peek...
"Enjoyed the show?"
Gus appeared out of nowhere, his green eyes suddenly disappearing. Mr. Howlin's eyes darted to hide, and Brook and I followed suit.
"Uh, yeah... Uh, the girls wanted to get going, so we-"
"Oh, nonsense! Not after the plan is revised. Plus, the girls must do the job, or there will be consequences,"
the guy who had initially appeared cute revealed himself to be a monstrous mutant that terrified us.
"And my son?"
he asked, returning to his normal appearance as our horrified eyes met his.
"So, what's in this for us?"
His gaze was fixed on both of us, and Brook face turned bright red.
"Oh, just a small little thing,"
