I want to start off this book with saying my grammar, and layout will most likely be horrible I am writing this on my phone

"You're never here for your kids or me Shaun!" Shouted Ashley... my mother.
"Maybe it's because I'm trying to make money for us and support us!" Snapped my father.
"You and I both know damn well that's not what you're doing!" Screamed my mother.
And this went on. Their arguments were getting worse; longer, louder, angrier. Their arguments always made me have trouble falling asleep, and it hasn't gotten any better recently.
Tomorrow was the first day of 3rd grade. I needed to sleep, but clearly that wasn't going to be soon. Moms and dads arguments could last for hours, and hours. I try sticking my head under my pillow to maybe make the yelling go away.
It never worked.
When their arguments finally stopped I fell asleep waiting the wonders of 3rd grade.
Throughout the course of the 3rd grade more arguments erupted; I never heard what they were about, all I heard was muffled screaming.
Until one day it wasn't there, and neither was my father.
I suddenly hear a deep masculine voice.
"Dad?" I thought
I walk out to see who this voice belonged to. I leave my room to find a tall police man in my living room asking questions to my crying mother.
"Go back to sleep baby." Said my mother in a soft voice. I did as I was told.
I went to sleep wondering what had happened to my dad.
The next morning I ask my mother why dad wasn't there and a policeman was asking her questions.
"Your dad went missing but, they found him at his friends house." she told me in a tired voice
- A Few Months Later-
"Mom why are we getting in the car? Why it's so late and where is daddy?"
"I don't know where your father is. We are going to go looking for him" she said in a frustrated voice buckling my brother in.
We start driving around town trying to find my dad. But all I could think about was
"What if he died from his diabetes?"

Alright guys, this is a short chapter kinda in a rush b/c I know I haven't published anything in a while. But on a different note what's your thoughts questions, concerns, or things I can improve?
Remember this is my FIRST story I have ever written and I would LOVE the help.
