"I'M FINALLY 14, school is over with, and i'm flying to queensland in 4 days!!" i shouted at naz over facetime. she grinned at me through the phone.

"i know!! I'm so excited, i reckon i may be more than you," she rambled.

"that's actually not possible," i shot back with a laugh that followed right after. i got up from my desk chair and moved to my bed. i laid down and thought about how absolutely crazy it was that it has almost been 3 years since nazzy and i met, and because of youtube too. the day she commented on one of my instagram posts forever remains a day in my head.

"isn't it absolutely wild that it's our friendship's 3-year anniversary soon," naz said lazily while filing her nails.

"i swear we are physic," i started, eyes wide. "i was just thinking about that! and yes, it's so wild."

"no wayy!" nazzy replied with her mouth open wide. "well you know what they say, great minds think alike." she had her eyebrow cocked and her lips together in a tight smile, her way of being sarcastic. i rolled my eyes with a smile on my face. we talked for a little while longer, i wasn't sure exactly how long. time seemed to fly when i was talking with naz. i checked the clock on my bedside table, it read 9:03 pm. that meant it was time to hang up with nazzy and film a video for my youtube channel, gianna rae.

i started my youtube channel when i was 10, filming things that happened in my life, like all of my soccer, cheer, surfing, or dance comps. now i still have things like that up on my channel, but since i'm older now, my content is a lot better. hopefully. let's just say, my videos from 2020 can't be found on the internet anymore, at least not on my channel. my channel has just over 250k and i'm hoping to hit 300k soon, but i have been growing tremendously and i am quite thankful for it. nazzy has been sweet by mentioning me in videos and we both sometimes show our facetimes during our vlogs, but she knows that she doesn't need to do that.

"i have to film content tonight and i want to plan some videos for while im in australia. i'll call you back tomorrow if that's ok?" i ask, breaking the moment of silence. not awkward silence, but nice silence.

"that's totally fine, i need to go to the shops to get some stuff for your welcome present anyways," nazzy said smiling. i quickly did the math in my head and told myself that it was about 11:00 in the morning over there, which made total sense. "plus, i need to start filming my video about meeting you anyways!!"

"ugh i love you nazzy, so so so excited," i smiled.

"i love you too gigi and same. see you later, crocodile," she said with a slight smile, finishing our conversation with our signature goodbye.

"after a while, aligator," i waved and hung up the call.

"hey guys, it's gigi and welcome back to another video," i smiled into the camera and moved it over to the ground where all of my filming equipment was stored. right after, i sat down in front of it.

"sorry for the mess around my room but i just feel like filming on my floor today," i started but then quickly changed my mind. "actually no, let's film from my desk." i wasn't sure if i was going to cut at the previous footage but i decided i would keep it in and just cut out the footage of me switching from the floor to my vanity.

"okay, that's better," i said, sitting up straight. i clapped my hands together and grinned. "today's video is an exciting one. as you can tell, it's dark out, hence why all my lights are on," i said, explaining why my LED's and skylight were on. "a lot is going to be happening. but i want to start with some big news. sooo, i.m leaving for australia in four days. this video may or may not be out before i leave but just know, i have never been this excited for a trip. some of you also may know that i am very close with naz norris, from the norris nuts, and i am going to be staying with their family for a few months. i am so so grateful to brooke and justin and the whole norris family, i want to add. so in this video, i am going to be prepping for travel, showing you my night and morning routines, and doing some shopping for myself and naz. but this first segment that i'm about to film is going to be my night routine. let's get right into it!"

i picked up my camera, moved to my bathroom, and flicked on the light.

"as you can see, we're in my bathroom. it's surprisingly clean, cleaner than my room at least," i exclaimed, looking around at the bathroom floor. i set the camera down on my bathroom's counter. "before i hop in the shower, i want to show you what i use."

i grabbed my shampoo, conditioner, hair masks, and all of my body products. i rambled as i talked about what products i use in my everything showers, my favorite products, etc. once i finished showing everything, i got a clip of my hand turning the handle for the shower water. as the warm water ran over me, my head was filled with the exciting thoughts of australia and new ideas for my up incoming video.

hihi guys, i know this is probably going to suck so much but keep in mind, this was something i started for fun a few months ago and now i kinda wanna get back in to it! btw, this first chapter is a short one but they will be getting longer. if you have any ideas or suggestions for chapters, let me know! i will happily take requests. enough of me talking, i hope you enjoy "a girl's best friend." <3
