Adrien's POV

By the time I actually left Marinette's place and got home, it was 4:25. We only ended up leaving at 20 past. I got ready for fencing as quickly as possible. Luckily, I made it on time.

“Mr. D’Agrencourt,” I said, getting his attention.

“Yes, Adrien? What’s up?” he replied.

“I was wondering if Marinette, my girlfriend, could come to watch the last little bit of practice?” I ask, “She's making things to bring for everyone after practice and I wanted to know if it mattered if she watched the end of practice.”’

“Is she the one that came and tried out at our last tryout session?” He asked me.

“Yes, why?” I responded.

“Kagami has gone to Japan for a couple of months and we need a replacement for her on our team. I think Marinette could be a good replacement,” he suggests, “The trial day, she showed good skills and she would be able to improve her skills quickly with the right training I think, tell her that she can come to watch the end and I’ll speak to her at the end of practice about it.” Mr. D’Argencourt said to me.

“Ok, Sir,” I replied, heading to the changing rooms to put my fencing gear on and message Marinette.

Messages POV: Adrien and Marinette

Adrien: You're allowed to come once you finish baking.
Marinette: Yay! I’m making choc chip cookies, macaroons, croissants, Apple Danishes, and Eclairs. Do you think that will be enough?

Adrien: More than enough, I’ve got to go see you later.❤️

Marinette: See you soon bye.❤️

Adrien's POV:

I read the last text Marinette had sent. Maybe this whole thing wouldn’t be as weird as I thought. I didn’t know how I would be practicing. With Kagami gone I had no real competition. When we got started on practice, Mr. D’Argencourt went with me. It was fine everyone was having their own conversation on the fact we needed a new team member, while training all I was thinking of is how Marinette would go into the team. She’s a good teammate from what I know, but she’s also willing to take charge when everything starts falling apart. As much as that’s a great skill to have, I don’t know how well it would work with the people on the team. It would also depend on who is captain, I guess.

Marinette POV

I got there at 4:45. Adrien would be shocked to see me here already with the list of snacks I was bringing, but the eclairs were in the fridge setting which took about 10 more minutes so I figured I could go back and grab everything once the eclairs were set. Adrien looked like his head was in the clouds, but he still managed to be amazing at fencing. He was going against the teacher which I thought was kinda odd. Since Kagami moved to Paris, he normally went with her. Although, looking around I couldn’t see Kagami. It took Adrien about 5 minutes to notice me and wave. His fencing teacher said something to him and then he ran over to me.

“Hey, Marinette,” Adrien said, taking a seat next to me.

“Hey, Adrien. Shouldn’t you be training?” I asked.

“Technically, but because I’m going against our instructor and you're here, he said I could come to say ‘hi’, while he went to see how everyone else was going,” Adrien said.

“Ok. That seems reasonable, I guess.” I replied.

“Where did you put the food you said you were bringing?” Adrien asked.

“Yeah the eclairs needed to set and I got bored, so I came down now and I’m going to go back and grab everything closer to the end of the lesson,” I said.
“Ok! Sounds fair enough. I think my father may kill me if he found out what I was eating this afternoon,” Adrien said.
